Thanks for the feedback. Really dumb rookie mistake with bodycolor under the vinyl top,it does however not show looking at it,the blitz add a lot. Also since some foil is loose on the top molding, there is a orange gap,i will tuck it down again. Lesson learned for another time, only primer under vinyl roof.

Got this one from a buddy on Facebook, and from the looks of it this have had a really rough life. It was missing original front bumper/grill/headlights,front suspension, original wheelcovers and tires, rear bumper and talights, lot`s of body damage and all the tips on the rear fenders where broken off,and gluemarks, sinkmarks, and of coarse big craters after the custom searchlights on top of front fenders. Been fiddle with this on and off for a year or so. Most of the parts i recovered is original parts besides the hubcaps (I have them but not plated yet) wich are 1964. Also i will replace the wonky doorhandles for more period correct ones. I tried install AC on this using some parts from here and there, and got period correct decals made for it. Anyway here are some pictures, and thanks for looking.

Call this one done, some minor touch ups before it goes on the shelf. Resin body from southern motorsport hobby, interior from AMT 70 Coronet, chassis and everything including buckets from Revell 68 Charger. The color is Burnt Orange CK8 Matt automotive, clear from Mr Hobby. I should get into the sand/polish thing but i did not on this. Big thanks to David Sutherland for helping out with the Magnums and to Gene Gigandet for the plated parts. Overall i`m okay with it despite the bad "ultra chrome" from BMF,kinda ruins the finish when it`s an constant job to go back and make it stick properly,or it sticks too much. And wrong color, twice lol. Some pictures, thanks for looking.

Nice to see one of these being built.

That is great,it is an certain satisfaction to finally have projects complete with all parts. Revell kits are lovely,i chose this route since the price on original Mercury Cyclone has gone to the moon.

This should be good. Looks like you are going full detail?
-
Very nice project, unusual and awsome looking cars. Do you plan on go stock with this?

Some good ones in there Gary. Is the Charger on the left a 66 by MPC? They dont exactly grow on threes. Got my package from Missing Link and the donor. It`s a really nice transkit with photo-etch etc.

Speaking of News, Any updates on the Moebius 1959 Dodge

Would be in for a couple, make a convertible and maby try full detail on one. Got one original kit fixer in good shape, will not chop into that one. -
Read some road-test last night and this thing must have been a fresh breath of air in 83-84. Maby not really fast by today`s standard but a little bit over 8 seconds to 60mph isn`t bad for that era.

Cant wait to see this one started. As for color taste is very subjective. I kinda dig the very light green metallic of this year, maby a more common color on the lesser models like the Newport. This in combination of white or black top/interior and maby magnums will look very nice. Not a fan of solid colors on full size cars,of coarse with your finish and build quality it might change. Close or similar to this color.

Really nice build. This is what should be on the boxart, not that blue thing. -
Looks good, love the wheels on these.
-
This is amazing! I had to go back and see if could notice the cat,and i did now, hilarious.
-
Great looking cuda, like the wheels and color a lot.
-
Turned out beautiful. I like the "experiment" with the wheels, they go really good with the black vinyl top.
-
Dont get me wrong,it is nice with somthing fresh on the market, also there is the MK1 Escort. Maby we will see the Audi Sport Quattro and more Group B monsters in the future. Crossing fingers for a RS200..

Sweet exhaust, dog dish caps, and two engines, this is really nice. This thing would be nice to put on a trailer behind the 880 Custom wagon. -
