Here's the rest. It was hard to get good pictures of some of the cars because they were crammed in tight in some spots. We couldn't get over to the hot rod/muscle car section because they were setting up for a dinner that night. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and maybe got a few modeling ideas. Yes it does. Plus less rushing now that I'm older. Retired so I hove plenty of time to work on them. This is my last old build, once again over 30 years old. I think it's a 41 Plymouth. The motor in this model is so nice I've thought of using it in in another build but I want to save this one. The paint on this one is gray Testors with a clear I found with gold flecks. The camera may not pick the up, but it looks nice. Now I'll start posting my new builds and pictures of the 1/1's I based them on if I can get the old pictures to come out. Thanks for all the nice replies.

Here's a couple of pictures of (I think) of a 32 Ford that is over 30 years old. This model has been dropped a few times and is missing some parts off the rear end, but still looks OK. It survived a move from NY to PA. I need to find the parts I need to fix it back up.

Thanks, everyone. I'll get a couple of pictures of the two older builds and post them. I also have three models made to look like the 1/1 cars cars I've owned in the past, I want to try and get the pictures of the real ones posted along with the model pictures to make it interesting. The models are a 61 Chevy Impala convertible, a 65 GTO,and a 66 Impala 396 SS.

My daughter got this model of A 62 T-Bird for Christmas 2013. It's my first attempt at bare metal foil, it was fun to get back to modeling. I've been working on others since then but just learned to use Photobucket to post pictures. I can't believe forgot to do a wash on the wheels. I also have a few models from the old days that I'll post as I get the chance. Here's the pictures.

Thanks Tom, It is in great shape, and drives nice. It was just to nice to pass up. My wife and I were talking about getting a convertible for a while, and when we saw this we had to get it.

Here's my cars. First is my favorite, an 84 Pontiac Fiero SE. I've owned it for 18 years this summer. It has a 2.5 motor with a 4:10 four speed. It is up to 232,000 miles. I'm off and on working on a model of it.. Not the best pictures as it away for the winter. Next is my 01 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Limited Edition with a little over 70,000 miles on it. I got this in June of last year, and took it to four car shows while my Fiero was getting painted. It won awards in three of the four shows. It was a garage kept one owner car that never saw winter. It's also away for the winter next to the Fiero. Last is a 98 Chrysler Sebring JXI Limited convertible, also with 70,000 miles. It's in perfect condition inside and out. I got this car in December, and haven't driven it much over the winter. This will be our summer drive . We've been using a 95 MB C280 as our winter car. I can't wait for nice weather. I got a convertible in the winter when I was in HS and drove around in the winter with the top down, and the heater on full blast, but I'm to old to do that now.

Lindberg 61 Impala "Marketing sample" box
Johnt671 replied to Carmak's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hotties was used to say that someone look good, or hot. It applied to both females and males. I think it is still used today. All of you people carrying on about the term need to go loosen your underwear. -

Is there an 'Ollie's' near by
Johnt671 replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I went back to the Ollies in Hazleton, PA yesterday and got the 62 Chevy and Kurtis midget. I was glad I went back because they didn't have the Kurtis the other times I went. They still have a pretty good selection left, but not as big a selection as last week. Now I need to stay out of there. -

I picked up two Ramcharger kits, the 37 Ford convert and a 27 Ford 5 window tall T all from Lindberg. I was tempted by the Lindberg 62 Chevy and 55 Chevy. $7.99 each. May go back for the 62, but my kit supply is getting pretty big. Need to get to work. -

Steven, I would tend to agree with you on detailing, and while I can do an OK job on some details, my eyes and hands aren't has sharp as they once were, and most detailing on body trim can't match decals for realism. I've done two models now with BMF and that stuff is the best. Riley, nice model.

That sounds good. Another kit is cheaper than the Ross Gibson motor. Would the 66 have the nice detailing decals with it, like for the body trim and dash panel? That would be a double plus to go that way.

Bare Metal Foil Phobic (Like me)? These items may help.
Johnt671 replied to Steve_L's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I think I see how to trim the foil using the grooved part to cut the foil, but how do you use it to burnish the foil? This looks like a good tip, so I ordered a set from Hobby Lobby. Thanks. -
Just bought a 65 GTO model to build like one I owned. This model is old school and I'd like to find a more detailed motor for the kit. I found a Ross Gibson 455 motor and wonder if that would be close enough to pass as a 389? Other kit motors?

Great job!! I've owned an 84 Fiero SE for 15 years, and have a kit to build a copy of mine if I can find the parts to do so. I drive it in the nice weather, and go to shows with it. It's up to 230,000 miles now. Heres a picture. Sorry its small but photobucket shrunk it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v86/aurons_girl/30d7d7b4.jpg

I got an e-mail today from Mega hobby today that said they were in the prcess of moving from Long Island to N.J. and would be shipping orders soon. I order from them and although they may take a day or two to ship the stuff still gets to me quick. Maybe their computers were down for a day or two?

I've seen some threads talking about red line tires and wanted to ask if any one could tell me where I could pick a set up. I need them for a model I'm working on. I've looked through some on line hobby places but haven't found any. If this is in the wrong place please move it to the proper forum, but it didn't seem to fit anywhere else. Thanks.

I've owned an 84 Fiero SE for 15 years now. It's up to 230,000 miles. It has the original motor and a 4:10 4 speed transaxle. I drive it in the nice weather and often go to shows with it. I had a good year last year winning trophys in six of the eigth show I entered. Glad to see some one doing a kit. I have that kit, but never got around to building it. I just picked up an 84 Fiero kit to make it like mine, which is a mild custom, so I'll need to gather some parts to do job. Right now I'm working on a 61 Impala covert. and a 66 Impala SS that I'm making like the ones I owned back in the day. I'm following some old pictures to get them as close as possible to the real ones. Here is a picture, but its small. For some reason Photobucket shrunk my pictures. Have work on some new ones. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v86/aurons_girl/30d7d7b4.jpg
