  1. I think she looks good, Jonathan. Nice job!
  2. Congratulations to you and your wife!!!
  3. I thought I would share some pictures of my hobby room / Earnhardt shrine. When I started back in this hobby I used a card table to build on. I moved to a home-made bench in a bare basement. The bench was next to the washer and dryer and all of the lint that comes with it. There was no heat. I would tack up an old bed spread from the floor joists to keep the lint out and the heat in. I did this for a number of years until I decided to make a dedicated room for my hobby. The room has evolved over the years and I have ran out of room for my goodies. These pictures were taken almost a year ago when I did my yearly cleaning and organizing. I am kind of a neat freak and keep my room pretty organized at all times. Hope you all enjoy the pictures. I absolutely love this room and regret not spending more time in it. This is the view as you open the door. Did you catch the ceiling tiles? Looking to the left. At bench, looking to the right. At the bench, looking back. I ran out of room inside the room so I had to move some kits to the outside.....
  4. Fantastic model. You did a great job on it. Nice job on the two tone paint.
  5. That is a great looking model, Fred.
  6. Wow Bruno!! I like it. Great job.
  7. Very, very nice model, Charbel. Body, interior and chassis, all very nice!
  8. O.K., here you go Kevin. This is from June 1983. I have better pictures of the car but thought I would post the Deals on Wheels ad.
  9. Hahaha, I'll have to dig it out and scan it.
  10. Deals on Wheels!!!........Yes, how could I forget. Right before I left for the USAF, I put my car in Deals on Wheels. Ended up selling it locally but I still, to this day, have that copy of Deals on Wheels.
  11. I've got to be honest, as a kid growing up in the 70's, in the middle of North Dakota, (meaning no big city nearby and no car culture), I would pour through every page of the JC Whitney catalog and dream about how I would "customize" my not-even-owned-yet car. Heck, I even ordered a thing or two. I laugh about it now but that JC Whitney catalog was as good as the Sears Wish Book at Christmas!
  12. Looking good! I am enjoying the progress posts. Looking forward to more.
  13. Welcome Tim! You are off to a good start. Keep us posted on your progress. There is a member here, Old Coyote, who is #1, a great builder, #2, a race car nut and #3, a Terry Labonte fan. Look for his posts. He has tons of Terry Labonte models that he has completed.
  14. I have a few airplanes in my stash and this is one of them. I agree with everyone else, what an awesome jet. I really like yours, you did a great job on it.
  15. I agree whole heartedly. I doubt that I will ever buy or build one of these models but I absolutely enjoy following your "builds" . I can learn something from any build, be it cars, airplanes, tanks, figures, etc. It would something to see all of your models in one big group.
  16. I'm really liking this one Jim! Cool!
  17. I went back to my local Ollie's last night. They had new models that were not there last time I went. They had Minicraft models. Airplanes mostly. There were a few Space Shuttles, Morgan 3-wheelers and some figure models. They still has a good selection of the original car models.
  18. That turned out very nice. I really like that second picture, (in the first set of pictures). Nice shot. Glad you got it finished.
  19. Yep, just took another trip back to my younger days. That is how we ran them if we could. Sometimes the local police department would have to ask tell you to drop the height of the rear.....hehehe. One day it would be too high and you would drop it only to be pulled over later and somehow, the darn thing was too high again. Nice looking GTO by the way!
  20. Thanks again everyone! I appreciate it!
  21. Said it before and I'll say it again. I love following these great WIPs. Thanks for taking the time to photograph and write them up.
  22. Given the monumental build you've got going on with the Super 7, I can understand why you would want a little OOB distraction. It looks good Mark. Now back to that 7......
  23. Thank you to all who have taken the time to comment on this car. Your kind comments are very much appreciated!
  24. I agree 100%. Thought that myself.
