  1. Three resolutions come to mind. I would like to break out my new airbrush and play with it. By the end of the year I would like to be consistently painting, at least parts, if not bodies. In conjunction with this, I would like to use Alclad on my parts. I would like to be more consistent at the work bench. For me, if I don't have an hour or so to spend at the bench, I don't go there. I have a buddy who is always talking about the "5-minute modeling" he does. In 5 minutes you can cut a piece off of the sprue and clean it up. Point is, you can get a lot of work done in shorter, consistent sessions. I like that idea. I would like to be more active on this forum. People spend a lot of time photographing their work and writting up posts to share here. I look at a lot of threads but don't always post a comment. I am not doing this to boost my post count but to show appreciation for the work of my fellow modelers.
  2. There is a mantra used in modeling circles that says to treat every part or sub-assembly as a model itself. You are one of the few who actually accomplish this. Every part on this masterpiece has been subjected to your amazing touch. Well done!
  3. Well, Shane, not much I can say that hasn't been said already. I really enjoy your work. It is a pleasure seeing them all at one time. Amazing to see that you can do such great work in different genres. Congrats on a great year of model building!
  4. Wow, Randy! That Torino looks great. I just got this kit yesterday for my birthday. Seeing yours makes me want to dive into mine right away.

  6. That is great, Tony. Very nice job. I liked that body style but have to admit, I don't remember that car. Thanks for sharing it.

  10. This is such a nice build, Jim, one to be very proud of. Great job!
  11. Very nice!
  12. Cool idea and she looks good "naked"
  13. Congratulations!!!! She looks beautful. What a blessing a daughter is. In my house it has always been a "daddies girl" and a "momma's boy" They are in their mid-twenties and not much has changed....
  14. Groovy! Far out, man! Nice job on the van, boat and trailer. I have never seen the hippie before. Where did he come from?
  15. Very nice! Paint looks great!
  16. Very nice, Andy. Great workmanship on this. It just has "the look". Great job!
  17. Steven, my experience with this has been positive. I don't remember having to put more than one or two coats down. I usually lay one coat down and use it to check my body work. I almost always find something that will need to be fixed, whether it be more filler and/or sanding or fuzz balls in the primer. I'll shoot another coat if needed. I do not recall it crazing plastic. I suppose it depends on the plastic in the kit, Revell, AMT, Tamiya, etc. I build all of them and do not remember having problems with any of them.

I get a kick out of this model every time I look at it. Very cool '57, Rambenna
  19. She looks good Joe. I see a lot of nice work in there. Those large decals can be a bear to work with.
  20. I think it looks very good Nico. F1 kits can be hard models to build. I will be looking forward to seeing the next one you build.
  21. Great looking model, Dennis!
  22. I admire your talent and determination. The combination of the two always provide beautiful models from your workbench. See above for case-in-point.
  23. Looks great Anthony! What scale is it? Which manufacturer?
  24. So very nice. That has to be one of the nicest examples of this model I have seen. Great job!
