  1. I remember as a kid while visiting my grandparents on my mother's side, every Saturday, frequently seeing a big car passing by, then I didn't know what it was, but was fascinated by probably the cheer size of it. Later in the early '80s I got this book on American cars, and finally found out what it was. Later I learned where the guy lived but by the time I got to the place, he didn't have the Newport anymore. He traded it in for a Cadillac Seville...the kind that get's destroyed by a monkey. Anyway...this car started my fascination for American Automobiles and have a weak spot for these Fuselage Chryslers...and for Chrysler motor company in general..while my father and later me too. were employed by GM. Cheers
  2. Kinda wonder if! Is that a conspirancy!?
  3. And prices in Europe include VAT (sales tax) while in the US you have to add that to the sticker price.
  4. Never watched it, hence the "dunno" 😉 Anyway, if what Christian wrote is reflecting in the overall/regional sales of this series of kits, lessons will be learned. But since the series was in limbo for such a long time, sales might pick up due to the premiere of the final season last week. But then it still boils down to exposure of these model kits to fans of the series....
  5. Soon it will be, not worth it importing kits from foreign manufacturers, kinda wonder if this made the decision to pull the plug at a certain distributor a bit easier.
  6. Comparing the median age of the viewer to the average age of a model kit builder, maybe tells the whole story, dunno...just guessing, but got a great deal on the Blazer thru Amazon last year, it was like 10 Euro off MSRP.
  7. Just saw this posted on Facebook, it was built by Louie Meyer AKA The Autistic modeler. Photo courtesy of Louie Meyer. Below the YouTube video, from his channel.
  8. Think you mean Round2, Dave 😉 Cheers Luc
  9. Chris "Hpiguys" is building one! His video will air this Wednesday (his words 😉 )
  10. As can be seen in the photo below the suspension parts differ too. The following photo, shows the tires. And the last photo, show the wheel and tire combo I will be using ( wheel from a Monogram Ford F250 on a Tamiya tire) Cheers Luc
  11. Just picked up a copy and noticed, besides the heavy and tightly packed box, the side glass for the "removable" top is different versus the Blazer. Paid 35 Euro's (40 USD) including tax in a local to me hobby shop.
  12. Interesting to learn that this generation GM trucks are so popular, maybe even more so then the previous generation?
  13. IMHO its there because the grille is molded open.
  14. Built the blue one (as Stef shows) back when it came out, sadly it didn't survive the hands of my toddler who's almost 18 now. (Sheez when did that happen 😉 ) Maybe this version was hiding in the Z/28 tool, dunno...also don't remember this version.
