  1. Maybe as a convertible first then, to set it apart from the old tool.
  2. Although I have two annuals, I would love an all-new cloned with improvements Bonnie, both in hard-as ragtop, but then there is still the Hasegawa thingy, which can be re-popped any time, tho it never will have to cool sixties spy/secret agent goodies the original Mpc kit had.
  3. Love the set-up Tim, it just looks right. anyway is there a source for these wheels in scale, kit or aftermarket? Cheers! Luc
  4. Round-2 doesn't need Jo-Han because they have a back catalog that will keep them busy for a long time. The bottom line here is that technology-wise it's possible to clone with improvements former Jo-Han designs, and if there's ROI and funding a lot is possible, money talks bullshit walks.
  5. Just wondering; when using the underpinnings of the newly designed Coronet, isn't half of the work done to create a "new" Charger kit while using the mpc annual as a template for the specific to the Charger parts? Big question however will be, is there still ROI with their Snap kit and the Revell's Chargers just waiting to put into production again?
  6. The Racing Champions release was interesting, the GMC grille/bumper was chromed, just needed some stock wheels IIRC, tho the original amt wheels were included too, as was the original Chevy grille. Along the way when Round2 took possession of the tooling the Kats backdated the tool back to post-opening-hood early '70's Chevy Van.
  7. IIRC the folks at Round-2 wanted to re-release the A-Team Van when the movie was released, but didn't due to exorbitant licensing fees. Anyone's guess how greedy the Tinseltown movie licensors will be this time, and if it's worth the effort on Round 2's part.
  8. Well....if it's possible to scan an old kit, or parts thereof, it's also possible to scan pieces which are created or were modified by a creative modeler, just as the tooling model craftsmen, carved from wood back in the day. So just for argument's sake, a guy takes an annual Jo-Han '70 GTX, mates it with the underpinnings of an Ertl designed late sixties B-Body and modifies the interior, then scans all the parts, refines it some more in the 3D program, test prints the outcome and if ok, sends the file to China to tool. The technology is there and in part being used by the aftermarket, only thus far the big hurdle is, tooling dollars, the fear of losing your shirt if the ROI isn't there. This is what separates the men from the boys Just my 2 cents and as always open for input. Cheers Luc
  9. So the trailer is printed anyone know what kind of material it is? Thanks! Luc
  10. Small steps at a time? Who knows what their ultimate goals are. Wait and see I guess
  11. Well the kit has some neat goodies, overlooked by many at the time it first came out, part due to the so so box-art, Round-2 brings it back in what I'm sure will be a much better wrapper, so don't really get the negative comments on it, cuz it's not a retool or so! Maybe it could've been avoided by, for example adding the wheel and tire package of the '71 B/M Camaro and some wild graphics on the decal sheet marketing is as a Street Machine, cuz there's no wrong or right there, no?! Just my 2 cents Cheers Luc
  12. Hope to buy two decal sets from them, cuz have two originals and at the time decals's weren't MPC's strong point so.....
  13. And three Would be nice to see the Kat's work their magic to it; clear headlamps etc....Just got in their '65 GTO to play with, nice crispy kit! BTW How do you guys feel about the '68? Cheers Luc
  14. It looks like the Lincoln LSC Pro Street has been released in the US. and made in the US as well.
  15. Strange they didn't do just that, cuz they have long tradition doing Pace car models.
  16. James, or anyone who might now, is the Cyclone AWD system similar to what's used for a Baja Chevy S10?
  17. I wonder what left-over Jo-Han parts they still have for sale. a list would be handy.
  18. Or whisper in one of Joseph Osborn's ears, that there is a business opportunity
  19. Do all CHP cruisers come with pushbars? Never mind, just found this one....
  20. It would be neat if some 3D designed aftermarket file or resin print therefrom of a 4dr body for the Chevelle. Why....well to create this one, BTW no open trunk please, much too dangerous. ?
  21. Great releases to look forward too, the '64 Malibu is a neat and very welcome surprise.
