  1. Sorry, don't remember. If Steve G. drops in, he might.
  2. The T-Bird is a big trip down memory lane; 2003 the Hobby Heaven Party at Dean Milano's toy and model kit museum in the same weekend as I-hobby. Remember Steve Goldman showing 2 build test shots of this kit and later on I learned from him, that certain engine bay parts didn't, get approved from Ford thus were omitted from the kit as released. Now I wonder if these parts were just blocked off from the tool or that the cavities were reworked. Cheers Luc
  3. Well how long is it now since the Belgian manufacturer Belkits released their first WRC kit? I think the key here is, that certain manufacturers still tread this hobby as toys and are still trying to get kids involved with lots of investment but rarely with success, while others do not and take an all different aproach offering nice qualiy kits to adults who have interest in building models of subject matter they prefer and that's where the money is. Another example look at how many all new military kits are being released, don't think kids are building these either, heaven forbid if their parrents would find out ?
  4. Could be wrong but I think since the late '70s, model kit manufacturers try to get get kids into model kit building again, with mixed results. Think it's safe to say that this hobby in general is a 40+ pastime. But anyway, just what I think. Cheers
  5. A couple years ago they updated the '77-'78 Dodge Monaco and now are bringing this one back, which means both cars from the series Hunter. Staring Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer are again available.
  6. I don’t have an earlier cab, if you do please compare the both, if they all have it, mpc at the time missed it from the get go, and the myth of the annuals were correct goes out the door Anyway it is what it is…….unless a company tools up a whole new series of kits from this generation trucks.
  7. Well you have to look at it at this way, Mpc back in the day, started with a mid '70s Chevy, and updated the tool to follow the anual GM design changes, but there is only so much one can do with existing cavities, cus cutting all new steel is expensive. Anyone here who has a 76 Jo-Han Cadillac Eldorado also can notice how that tool was updated from a '71 thru the years. Cheers Luc
  8. Yeah, Trumpeter really blew it with their releases, so maybe an opportunity for Round2's cloning program and as it raced in Monte Carlo back in the day, and still is, in historic events. It has a worldwide appeal. Yet, if plausible, it needs major updating in the drive-line department, meaning cloning parts from more modern kits and adapting them. Just my 2 cents Cheers Luc
  9. Hi all, just wondering what you guys prefer. Cheers Luc
  10. IIRC the Cobra was kinda unique cuz the Revell kit was a ragtop, tho Ertl at the time designed the headlamp buckets in an odd way.
  11. Must be earlier cuz it has written Revell Venice design all over it. By the mid 80s Revell Venice was history and the design from that moment on was done at Monogram in Illinois and some in Bunde Germany. But anyway....anyone here who has an idea, when the new 'vettes will land?
  12. I wonder if the Kats at amt/Round2 are looking into a 4dr version of this kit (by using some of the data of the wagon) to have a sibling for the SF market.
  13. What also would be neat if Round-2 could tool up some Holden specific parts, as the Poncho was based on the Monaro, IIRC Vauxhall of the UK also had their version of this Holden. Maybe our friends here from both the UK as Australia can elaborate on this. Anyway just a thought, don't know if there's a big ROI unless maybe DDA is interested in co-investing in this but, great to brainstorm anyway.
  14. Kinda wondering, if there would be interest in the initial Corvair model. photo credit: Jon Zarbolias
  15. Got several of these van's, but kinda hope that in the future they bring back the GMC again, doesn't have to be an A-Team licensed kit, a factory stock will do too.
  16. As with all new technology there's a learning curve and they will improve with each new new release based on a long-gone vintage kit. The FB you mention, I filed the A-pillars to match the original kit I have, just need to glue on some evergreen strip to make up the trim. Anyway, can't wait to see what's around the corner. Cheers Luc
  17. Thanks Bill, will ask the Belgian distributor.
  18. Hey guys, Anyone know if it's possible to order spare parts from Aoshima? Cheers Luc
  19. Probably more even, when you're living in mainland Europe, plus 21% sales tax and 15 Euro on import duty.
  20. Useful for car and truck modelers https://miniart-models.com/product/24002-jerrycans-20l-german-type/
  21. It would never come with the neat Spy Cat options the original Mpc kit had, and that may be the ultimate nostalgia factor sought by the older weekend buyer. Dunno just guessing ?
  22. Would love to have a retooled improved '66 Bonnie, but the big question will be, how well would kits of full size American coups like this one, or the 67 Galaxie perform, compared to what seems the American gold standard, meaning the Chevy Impala.
