  1. Ertl did siblings, but it was a more stock-custom thingy. But they were different times back then.
  2. I only see opening a can of worms, besides looking at Round-2s back catalog they themselves have plenty of subject matter worthy of a re-tool.
  3. Was hoping to buy one while in the US, but sadly was unable too. yet got some other neat kits and stuff I wanted, so still happy with what I was able to put on top of the rest of the pile when coming home Cheers
  4. A ragtop would be neat, especially when done as a Sprint version.
  5. Indeed, for a while I've been wondering if the MPC Ford Econoline can be scanned and reduced to 1/25 too? Cheers
  6. Dunno, so many kits on the secondary market, which can be used for parts, and again IMHO this is only the beginning, Round2 as they go along will improve on this, just have patience, Rome wasn't built in one day.
  7. Guys, IMHO the Kats at Round2 are just beginning to scratch the surface with this new technology, taking small step at the time and watching how the market reacts. I believe in the future, insert swapping will be a thing of the past, cuz it's not like they can't scan and if necessary improve the modern kits or part thereof too. Just saying, lay back, enjoy the ride and, yeah ...start saving ?
  8. Bob, is it only the tulip panel, or does decklid also differ in shape?
  9. Yes it was a dark day. The time R-M had to grind the tire molds to avoid paying insane royalties. And to think a few years prior visiting the Morton Grove plant, seeing buckets of branded tires near the packaging line.....sigh.
  10. One day certain subject matter may have momentum, the following day, A new deck of cards, and the hand you're dealt with tells you a whole different story. Think people like Tim boyd often think, darn we were so close having a kit of, subject matter x, y, z.....sometimes having inside knowledge can be a pain LOL
  11. Would surprise me.
  12. Revell USA updated their cover photo on Facebook, so guess it won't be long now.... Also Robert Glucksman posted some photos from his box-art build there.
  13. That's old school thinking, Dave. Cuz they can scan the interesting parts of old kits and cut new tooling. For instance whole engine families can be tooled and tossed in newly designed "cluster" kits. IMHO the Kats at Round-2 are just barely getting started...
  14. Maybe there's a "new" promo in the works to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary, since introduction of that first Pony car, next year? Only the Kats know.
  15. The sky is the limit Steve! Anyway like where this is going.
  16. Think these Round-2 kits could be a goldmine for a guy like Joseph Osborn of Fireball models (creating dress-up and greasy parts) and maybe even some collaboration between both.
  17. Already did a mock-up of my pulldozer and spare box parts..
  18. Maybe in time the Kat's from Round-2 start tooling up engine families and gearboxes which can be sold as parts packs or included in newly modular designed kit tooling. All in due time I guess, cuz they're cranking out new product like crazy, and I'm loving it
  19. Will be looking for your report when getting ready to leave for work, Tim. Cheers!
  20. Wouldn't mind having both Cougars either, even though I have both annuals. Cus I'm most certain the chrome on the reproductions will be much, much better LOL
  21. Round-2 today is a real game changer and makes hunting for annuals somewhat of a risk, luckily my hunt stopped more than a decade ago, and I do hope that most of my wants will be recreated, anyway very glad the Kats are able to do their thing.
  22. When viewing the model, yes. When I say putting their back catalog to good use, I don't mean tooling but once produced kits. Tooling is just a vehicle. Round-2 is sitting on a treasure.
  23. Thanks for the pics Casey, this one is also going on my shopping list. Great to see that Round-2 is putting their back catalog to good use. Steve G. and John G. Thank you!
