  1. Saw this posted on Facebook, so….
  2. No one except the Kat's at amt know what's coming but do expect that they will try to get the most out if this tooling, cuz as everyone knows it ain't exactly cheap. so sit back relax and let the news of what's in the pipeline come to you in the next coming months, year. And even if there will be no widebody from them, who knows some aftermarket supplier will offer one....
  3. There is also someone who's doing a early '70s Pontiac GTO and when I see his files of the underbody, it's like being back at GM checking out all the details of a new model......can't believe it's more that 10 years since they shut the door for us.
  4. Not the MPC Ford Van, which is a 4x4 or better……the tool can be ran as one, it also had a side opening door with glas, so it can show off a workshop (which isn’t in the kit) and also IMHO, a van is a much better canvas for art work, therefore my choice, but it kinda depends on having a usable trailer for two bikes.
  5. one of the dirtbikes has been re-released in the past by Round2 Personally I would like to see them releasing like a dirt bike racing team set, featuring the two bikes, the MPC 4x4 Ford van as a mobile repair and towing vehicle, and a trailer to put the bikes on, only one problem I don't think they have a trailer in their backcatalog so.......nice to dream
  6. It's all about the money.
  7. If you look closely at the pictures, you will see that they are separate.
  8. IIRC All American Models ( Art Anderson) did a resin one back in the day.
  9. So, maybe from a marketing standpoint it would've been better to leave off the model year? Thoughts please! Cheers
  10. Well this is Round2, and they have a pretty good track record in investing in new footwear....
  11. Not available yet, but probably soon.
  12. Hoping for GMUD code Z71, a GMC Grille and maybe a club cab too (tho have an extra)
  13. If Ertl at the time had it in it's lineup, I'm quite convinced, that the numbers would've been pretty darn good, and if Revell didn't wipe out their Caprice, retooling for the Impala, but instead planned to have both a Caprice (tho facelifted) and Impala version from the same tool, the picture would've been complete. If only they had a crystal ball back then But did my part, writing to both to Ertl and Revell Monogram back in the '90s!
  14. Two different markets, specific for the N/A market almost always came and or come with an engine. I've read Steve G.'s comments why the no power plant, maybe this kit will be a game changer.... who knows what's heading our way in the future.
  15. Kinda the same thing the slot guys do, take the body components and sell the guts
  16. You can always sell the kit on feebay
  17. hmm, yes could be it.
  18. Odd....one of the Japanese hobby vendors as well as a German vendor listed the '70 Torino Cobra, yet no mention on the Stevens site.
  19. Sure looks nice, hope it sell like hot cakes for them.
  20. Pet peeve of mine too Steve M., I'm very glad the Kats at Round2 also see that it lifts a kit up a few notches, from toy to scale model, one of the reasons as a kid I liked Monogram better. Keep up the great work Steve G.
  21. Interesting, this pic means that the original tooling went MIA, do hope this kit too dumps some of the promo heritage of the original releases, thus comes with upgrades like clear headlamps, etc.... Following.
  22. Hpiguys did one...
  23. I didn't look into it, just took for real what he posted. Anyway wrong interior or not, it's still a very nice build. Anyway looking forward to Round-2s re-pop with correct interior and rally I and II wheels!
  24. Probably why it always has been labelled as a Street Machine. Anyway just saw a build by Scott Liggett, he used an original '68 MPC body, interior and the guts from a Mpc 69'Olds 442, it's beautifull, please see link for more.... Photo courtesy of Scott Liggett. I finished my black '68 GTO. This is an annual body and interior with the ertl '69 442 chassis underneath it. ............... *PICS* ........ (spotlighthobbies.com)
