  1. You can always sell the kit on feebay
  2. hmm, yes could be it.
  3. Odd....one of the Japanese hobby vendors as well as a German vendor listed the '70 Torino Cobra, yet no mention on the Stevens site.
  4. Sure looks nice, hope it sell like hot cakes for them.
  5. Pet peeve of mine too Steve M., I'm very glad the Kats at Round2 also see that it lifts a kit up a few notches, from toy to scale model, one of the reasons as a kid I liked Monogram better. Keep up the great work Steve G.
  6. Interesting, this pic means that the original tooling went MIA, do hope this kit too dumps some of the promo heritage of the original releases, thus comes with upgrades like clear headlamps, etc.... Following.
  7. Hpiguys did one...
  8. I didn't look into it, just took for real what he posted. Anyway wrong interior or not, it's still a very nice build. Anyway looking forward to Round-2s re-pop with correct interior and rally I and II wheels!
  9. Probably why it always has been labelled as a Street Machine. Anyway just saw a build by Scott Liggett, he used an original '68 MPC body, interior and the guts from a Mpc 69'Olds 442, it's beautifull, please see link for more.... Photo courtesy of Scott Liggett. I finished my black '68 GTO. This is an annual body and interior with the ertl '69 442 chassis underneath it. ............... *PICS* ........ (spotlighthobbies.com)
  10. Well the modeling bug finally bit me again, was fiddling with a couple of Revell 29-30 Ford's, which are more or less ready for paint, but first wanted to test what's left of my painting competence/ incompetence , so pulled this old Monogram kit to oil these rusty skills, it's in primer now, chassis ready for some detail paint, color coat next time I visit my parrents. (Acces to spray booth there)
  11. You guys are lucky to have those 40% off deals, here sadly Round2 car kits hover in the high 30s up to 50 bucks. the Transtar truck sell here just shy of a Benjamin Franklin so very picky to what I buy.
  12. A good friend sent me the following on DuVall George DuVall - Kustomrama
  13. I know, but this is an "inside" joke....cuz we had a conversation on the matter in the past.
  14. For or against the Duval windshield, doesn't matter, IMHO there are plenty of options in the Revell '32 Ford series of kits, to build whatever you want. To me the Duval windshield links the hot rod culture to the crews who armed and flew the B17 Bombers, look at the windscreen of one and you see what I mean. But what do I know Cheers Luc
  15. Kinda wonder, what the Kats at amt could do with this body, if scanned and altered truer to what the OEM created, but on the other hand is there interest in a stock Dart body, and what guts are in the R2 inventory to make it complete?
  16. A pitty if the powers at Moebius think so too, cuz every new model kit they do goes up a notch in the learning curve, from development to production, accept criticism if it adds value in the process of making the next release better, discard blunt unfounded remarks, which sadly always be a part of whatever is discussed or showed, IMHO you can not ever and I mean ever let the bullies win, stand proud with what you created or are presenting! I once had a conversation with a Moebius rep. on the matter of replicating "correct" to scale bodies, and I'm sure with an ambassador to the hobby like yourself, you will help Moebius to outgrow these, growing pains. So Tim...you know what to do!
  17. Hope the ship will get diverted to Europe first
  18. Pure speculation, but who knows....maybe the production slot for this kit is now taken by producing replacement parts for the racing wedge. Anyway, all kidding aside...I'm sure Dave Metzner will post if it goes into production and who knows maybe Tim Boyd will get an advanced copy to build. So patience grasshopper
  19. Would like the option too, guess we will see how much interest this kit generates and if it warrants further siblings, if not under consideration already. Anyway, another kit to add to my to buy list.
  20. Or...if many questions come in....they get a feeling if there's interest in that particular subject matter or not.
  21. Think it would work great with the XL wheel tires sets, too. BTW where did the tooling for those end up?
  22. Steve, while the frame is there, the glass itself is not, but since it's a flat piece easy to replicate. Cheers Luc
  23. Oh yes, I remember now, visiting a hobby shop in Grand Junction Co. picking up that kit wondering if it was the corrected version or not. The '66, you probably meant the Chevelle.
  24. What was their first all new 1/25th scale car kit, the '67 Olds?
  25. Every bracket, clip etc comes at a cost of a few cents, but multiplied by x many cars..... and then I'm not talking the logistics side, IIRC the creation of a partnumber at GM, back when I worked there over ten years ago, costed $25000.
