  1. Hello all hope everyone's well. Started my Ford drop tops this past Saturday. The Lindberg 1937 is Testors One Coat Root Beer and Bronze lacquers with ivory floorboards. The AMT 1953 is Testors Extreme Lacquer with and Ivory, and Spa Blue interior. So far so good. Will post as I go along.
  2. What a fantastic job. Superb. I just got the AMT 1953 Convertible and looking at your example is going to motivate me to do my best. Thank you again for sharing.
  3. That is very well done. I really like it a lot. Bravo you should be proud.
  4. Please see the pics on my 1962 Belair so far.
  5. Good day all and hope everyone is well. I have the following four kits I either have started the paint on or just gotten. They are the Lindberg 1937 Ford Convertible, the AMT 1953 Ford Sunliner Convertible which I just picked up at Hobby Lobby on sale last Friday. The 1959 El Camino (picked up at NNL East this year), and the AMT 1962 Bel Air Coupe are in various stages of paint at this time. As much as I love Musclecars I am starting to get the itch to build 1964 and earlier American Iron (my late Father's influence for cars from his generation). I will post some pics as I go along with each. Thank you.
  6. Very nice job.
  7. To me doesn't much matter if its an A or B model 4070. As long I could get me grubby paws on it I'd be good.
  8. Bucky thanks for the reply. The hanger actually fits well in the housing. So I'm good there.
  9. Brian thanks. I liked both as a teen when I was building them. Major concern I've read about the DM series models was cab alignment. Also concerned about the movable front axle (if I can attempt to not screw it up), and the rear trunnion fit. JJ55
  10. I know there's a couple of new releases coming out. So my question is which one to buy? The AMT A-64B Tractor, or the MPC Mack DM-800 tractor. I had both back in the late 1970's and cant remember which was easier to assemble. Could use suggestions, experiences. Thank you. JJ55
  11. Thanks guys. Can a drill with bits be sourced at lets say a place like Harbor Freight Tools? I tried heating a piece of the hanger on an AMT KW K-100 but wasn't satisfied with the result as much as I thought I'd be.
  12. Good morning all hope everyone's well. I have a question in regard to my arch enemy from 40+ years ago. The metal AMT axle. I am in the midst of building a Diamond Reo and am wondering what is the best way to insert the axles in the wheel backing. I have bent more than my fair share of them. I have also tinkered withe the idea of using wire hangers as well. Do I drill the backings out and insert the axles. Thank you. Jersee Jerry 55
  13. That's just spectacular. I have one currently in progress. If mine comes out 20% as good as yours I will be amazed. Very NICE job Yuri. You should be proud.
  14. Good day all. Hope all are well. I just wanted to post Kevin Hilsabeck as a great trader. Made a deal with him everything smooth and in a timely fashion. Just received the models from him. Packed great and very good attention to ensuring the kits were not going to get damaged. I HIGHLY recommend Kevin to all. Now just have to paint them AND honestly finish a kit. LOL. Have a great day all. Jerry
  15. Holy S. Those are awesome. Great job. Bravo!
  16. That's really sweet. Agreed on the unsung heroes aspect. I think Kenny was a really good driver, who tried his hardest to be the best he could be.
  17. Wow. Sorry for the loss of your son, and all the other associated things that happened. Hope 2018 is kinder to you.
  18. I love the A-64B. One of my favorites from the 1970's.
  19. Wishing they can find the tooling for the IH 4070 B. I'd even be stoked for the Astro 95, the LNT-8000 tractor, or dump truck, or the IH S series.
