I don't have an AMEX, but I accept them through my business. They are more difficult to deal with, but they seem to protect their users pretty well. I carry $5-$10k balance on my business credit card. I also pay off about that much each month, so even though I am carrying a balance, the $10k that was there on the 1st is not the same $10k that is there on the 25th. I am trying to accrue as many points as I can before April. I have two long trips I need to take and I am trying to not use any out of pocket money for the travel expenses.

$513 with shipping. US customers don't pay VAT. Holy Grail type kit for me -
I can't stop looking at this. Just released a couple days ago, limited to 40 pieces. OH MY GOD! http://fein-design-modell.de/18-gt40-motor/

a lot of cards do pay you to use it. I pay $75 a year for my card and accrue points. If i pay the balance of each purchase within 25 days of the purchase, there is no interest. I opened a new card in April, haven't paid interest yet and have 130,000 points, which is about $1300 credit towards airfare, hotels and rental cars, or I can actually choose purchases to remove from my history and the balance of those will be removed from what I owe in lieu of obtaining points. in 5 months I have made $1225 from Capital One. credit cards are not a bad thing if you understand how they work.

Scale Modeling and Youth?
Quick GMC replied to drsnapper55's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
if aftermarket detail parts and photoetched parts didn't exist, I would have 0 interest in the hobby. I consider myself a car enthusiast, but I build because I have always been infatuated with miniature detail.- 43 replies

if you move your pictures in your PB account after you post them here, it kills your links. Put them where you want them, then post them here. Half your threads have missing pictures.

Flocking For Large Scale?
Quick GMC replied to Quick GMC's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
thanks guys -
What do you guys use for large scale, specifically 1/12 scale flocking? Does the regular stuff work, or are the fibers too small?

NEW PLACE TO GET PARTS CHROME PLATED!

I don't have to go to the post office, I get pickups. It's great to have the option, but to make it your only way of accepting payment narrows down your customers. credits cards, banks and PayPal are safe, legal and reasonable business practices as well. People can run their business how they want, I support that. I just don't understand why you would deliberately limit your clientele over something so simple. -

Not a ton yet, but I started using Pitnerest to compile reference pics for builds. I started a board here, but have only added pics directly from Pinterest so far. I will add more as I go. https://www.pinterest.com/camerondemille/ -
Not my video, but it came across my Facebook feed and I though it was worth sharing. Looks pretty good. http://www.plasticmodelsworld.com/node/1401

I posted this in the wrong forum, can a mod please move this to the Workbench -
I am taking a short break from the Hemi Dart while I wait for parts for my airbrush. I have been wanting to start this kit for a while and it will like be worked on in between other builds. I have a hard time knowing where to stop when it comes to detailing, and it usually ends up with everything in a box when I get stuck. I will try and keep this one fairly simple. Right now, the detailing plan will be the Acu Stion set, scratchbuilding a few pipes, clamps and adding wiring to the cluster and other areas. PE pieces, turned intake trumpets and the windscreen. I dont know much about these kits, but I am guessing it's an old one. The detail isn't too sharp. The tires are perfect. They have the right finish and they are already lettered. All I have to do is some light weathering. So far I have just glued some engine pieces, filled some gaps. I will post some pics when the engine has some primer and starts coming together.

The manifold and intake on this 1/12 is Tamiya Flat Aluminum, then I lightly rubbed it down with my fingers, or you could lightly weather it with Tamiya Weatehering kit, A tissue, etc. to knock the sheen down If you want absolute dead flat aluminum color, Alclad Flat Aluminum has zero sheen, its absolutely flat This is also Tamiya Flat Aluminum

it's not so much as handling the truth, but the way you present the information. Why BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH all over a guys build because you have 3D experience? It was a really rude thing to do, for no reason other than to stroke your own. I won't clutter up the WIP thread with an argument, so feel free to PM me.

This is a pretty terrible way to try and be helpful, if that's what you were doing. What a freakin jerk

USPS money orders only. No thanks. It's insane to me that people still operate like this. -
I have a feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg, and not just for the Pats. I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of finger pointing and former employees speaking started happening

I think I may have misunderstood your post. Did you built this kit already, or you just have it in your stash? I am trying to find built pics of it.
