  1. I ordered 20 modular pieces to make a 3 level wrap around setup. It's 5 feet wide on the outside, which gives me 4 feet of width on the inside. The total weight was 100lbs and it's hard to gauge it accurately in my head, that seems pretty heavy for what they look like. I though it was lightweight wood. Also they all come with magnets so they magnetically attach to each other. I left the top center section out as my laptop will fit perfectly in there and I can watch shows and movies without it being in the way.
  2. I ordered a bunch of these and they should hopefully be there next week. Wait til you guys see the setup, I am super excited.
  3. no problems posting photos on any forum, ever: http://imgur.com/
  4. Amazon Prime is cheaper than cable and has way better stuff to watch whenever you want. Not to mention free 2 day shipping on almost everything.
  5. I have mentioned Imgur at least a dozen times on this site and have been ignored each time. It is bare bones, stupid easy and works on every single site I have ever been on. Imgur.com
  6. I tried ordering, but it said I had exceeding the allowed shipping weight. Since they are in Poland I think they are only using a specific USPS method. I contacted on Facebook, but it's in the evening there now. Hopefully they have a solution. I drew up and designed my setup and measured everything on my bench yesterday to make sure it would work. I'm super excited. If I can get this worked out, I'll post pictures once I have it done. They get shipped in flat board and you have to fit and glue them together. They seem really sturdy, based on the shipping weight I had for the pieces.
  7. if you can get the kosutte ginsan, that would work really well
  8. Here is their facebook page where a bunch of customers posted their setups. You can configure just about anything. https://www.facebook.com/AccessoriesForModelers/photos_stream
  9. try reorganizing your setup. This helps me. I rearrange things, clean up a bit and I start building.
  10. Hobby Zone (In Poland) has some pretty incredible organizing systems, I wasn't sure if anyone here has heard of them. At first I wasn't interested because it seems they are heavily geared towards WarHammer type stuff, but the more I look into it and think of all the ways I could set it up, the more I get excited about ordering. I have always had a constant battle for maximizing my available space and having very organized work area. I like to be able to reach for something without having to mover other stuff to get to it. I rearrange my work area almost every time I change the model I am working on. I think this will help tremendously. You have to assembled the pieces, which is fine, since shipping them flat keeps shipping costs down. The modules attach to each other with magnets so they aren't sliding around. Here is their website: http://www.hobbyzone.pl/en/
  11. I used to use FF exclusively, but about a month ago went back to Chrome. FF has been glitchy and having some issues. Chrome has been much smoother lately.
  12. not everyone needs multiple gears
  13. I saw this go past me today on the 55 in CA. There was traffic and I caught up to it and snapped a pic. Luckily I had my DSLR on the seat next to me, I'm surprised it came out so good, trying to avoid an accident and all. Looks like a Kirkham Motorsports car. It's bare polished aluminum, I think they go for about $300k
  14. this is an incredibly realistic build
  15. I cannot stop watching these videos. This is a 17 part series on a guy making a rotating welding table. Nothing but old school manual machine work and assembly. If you like watching machining and have some time to kill, check this out. All the videos can be accessed from the upper left corner of the YouTube screen where it says "playlist" on the embedded video. You don't need to go to youtube.
  16. This is most likely my next one, depending on price and availability when I'm ready http://www.modelfactoryhiro.com/new/en/archives/2087
  17. Yeah I just did light pressure and went up and down the length of the rod and made sure each grit was done thoroughly. then all 3 Tamiya compounds
  18. I just played around a little. My Drenel goes down to 5,000 RPM, but I found it chatters a bit. looks 10,000 is the sweet spot for smooth cutting without melting the plastic. The main reason I wanted to do this was to make fluid canisters for race cars out of clear sprue .Also turn, shock bodies and caps, filters, etc. I just did this piece of clear in a couple minutes with sanding sticks and Tamiya polishing compound. Turned out great. I want to be able to do metal to make shock caps, oil cans and other stuff. Are there any handheld machine bits I can buy?
  19. I am getting the Dremel work station so can have it mounted stationary.
  20. I bought some micro chisels so I could practice turning my own parts with the dremel. I have some brass rod and I Have never worked with brass before. Can I use the micro chisels on brass without ruining them? These are the ones I bought: http://www.affinitymodels.co.uk/p125012/MASTER-TOOLS-MODEL-CHISEL-"1mm-FLAT"-(F1)-%2309923/b0-4762-4762
  21. You started a thread to complain that there were too many complaints in the complaint thread?
  22. you don't like it because you can't be bothered to take a few minutes to look around. Unbelievable what you guys will bitch about.
  23. I was wondering if the WorkStation was worth getting. Sometimes I have trouble drilling holes straight by hand, but some of these attachments are more clunky and a hassle than they're worth. I still have a long way to go before I dive into a mini lathe and mill. This is what I am talking about http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=220-01 Also, I found a bunch of stuff I didn't even know they made http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=675 http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=A679-02 http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=2500-01 http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=A576 http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=231
