Welp, I thought it was time to pull this one out and finally finish something... She's up on all fours, just a bit more plumbing to do, exhaust hold down springs, wire the instrument cluster, and on and on.. I wet sanded (1000g) the body shell and shot it with 3 coats of Duplicolor #CBVW2037 Tornado Red..I'll wait a couple of days and repeat the process. Glad to be back at the bench Cheers -
Well done Ray..I like the colour combo !

Nice work Thomas, the steering wheel looks like real wood? I hate when I drop a freshly painted part on the floor.... Cheers -

My dad bought one of those back in my high school days...Igottasay, I hope you're going to do an engine swap...lol Not much progress on the Electra, I was wandering the aisles in Crappy Tire the other day looking for a colour to lay down on her and thinking, what would a '62 Buick look like....saw this And lo and behold, it matches closely to something on the 1962 Buick colour chart, Fawn Mist Iridescent......SOLD -
I built that one many moons ago, and it came out ok There are definitely proportion problems, like the roof being too long and tall and the rear quarters having a bit too much hip in them, but other than that, it's a GTO on my shelf !!

Well after a year of staring at this Buick, I might as well stare at it for another year.. lol I'll be in with the '62 Electra...I've cut the trunk open and started on figuring ride height, sanded off the side mouldings, and other than that, haven't touched it... Lets hope I can be just a bit more productive this year. -
