  1. S-S-S-S-L-L-L-L-O-O-O-O-W-W-W-W-W.......... I haven't finished anything in months. And that was BEFORE the summer house/ lawn/ car care season. Maybe this winter. Ever the optimist!!
  2. Is there much difference in the size/ shape of the two? and would they swap from one to the other?
  3. I like the show, and i hope it keeps going, but that job would be hard enough to do without tripping over a camera crew to do your job. I know that they agreed to be filmed for the show, but that's GOTTA get pretty old after awhile.
  4. I can appreciate that "you gotta do what ya gotta do" to keep the bills paid. I always liked watching that show, especially in the middle of July with 90+ temps watching re-runs of Jamie and the crew working in 3-4 feet of snow. Bad weather aside, I hope he keeps making a go of it.
  5. Just finished up a trade with guitarsam 326 (aka Sam King) Thanks for the trade!!! Would trade with you again any time!!!
  6. Jamie sold the rotator?!! Things must be tight... Yeah, I watch that show when ever I can catch it on. Its kinda hit or miss for us down here, but I binge watch it whenever it comes on.
  7. Boy ain't that the truth!!!! One of those bags went off and broke the wife's arm, and now i have recalls on my truck and her car at the same time.....
  8. Revell AG 1/32 Bf 109 G-6. I've heard alot of good things about this particular kit, so i figured i'd see what all the noise was about. While not a Hasegawa Gustov, its pretty darn close!!! AND Revell got the shape of the spinner right on this one. I see quite afew more of these joining my 1/32 Geschwader!!!
  9. THAT is an impressive model!!!!! I've seen them in 1/72, and they look huge, but 1/35.... whole nuther ball game. Most expensive kit kit i ever bought.....$175 for a mint sealed big scale Monogram Jag XKE coupe.
  10. Used to be a WC off post in Maryland we would hit after a night at the bars. I don't remember what was worse, the hang over or the gurgling gut the next day. But it tasted great at O'dark 30 in the morning and you blew all your cash on booze the night before.
  11. Just finished up an OUTSTANDING trade with AFX, (JC Reckner).Fast trader, Great communication, Nuff Said!!!
  12. I used that line of paint on my Auto Car dump truck cab with pretty darn good results. It took about a week or so to gas out enough to wet sand and polish, but its durable and polishes out nice.
  13. Hmmm, I'm thinking mid- engine wheelstander drag van with a wild paint job. I like it Oddvar!! It has all kinds of possibilities as a drag race vehicle too. They are re-issuing this one?
  14. I like it!! Always have liked the lines of that body style of Fairlane.
  15. I LOVE they're stuff!! I need a second job to buy all the stuff i want from his site. I've ordered krawler tires from him, and they are TOP SHELF!!!
  16. I think some of those guys still jacked up the rear of those old gassers to avoid flat spotting the slicks, and to avoid getting debris on the tire surfaces.(?)
  17. You read my mind!!! Perfect moonshine runner for sure!!!
  18. That's what I was getting at, I just couldn't post the illustration. Thanks Bill. In my own crude way, that's the point I was trying to make. I understand the mechanics, I just don't always get them across verbally( or in written form) your illustration pretty well sums it up.
  19. Launch geometry. Push "go" pedal HARD. Back of car drops under hard torque and acceleration, thus compressing said half leaf springs, moving forward. NOSE of car lifts up, thus giving the impression of that nose high stance that some (including myself till recently) people get confused with how a gasser looks at rest. My point being the 1/2 rear leaf springs of the early gassers allowed enough travel under hard acceleration to "pop" the front end into the air for snap weight transfer to the back. Get that formula wrong, and it makes for some killer wheel stands too!!! I wonder how many seat cushions vanished till they came out with the wheelie bar?
  20. I liked the nose high look at first, but then I grabbed a copy of the gasser build rules, and it was a real eye opener. I had been building my gassers wrong for quite awhile. It LOOKS cool on some cars, but its not realistic with the 1:1 rulebook. Wasn't that the reason for the 1/2 leaf springs on the rear ends of the early gassers, to get more rear suspension travel to get the nose up on launch for better/ faster weight transfer?
  21. Static stance on the cars is fairly flat. Like Brian said, 24" crank centerline rule. I always thought the nose high look was more of a street/custom thing.
  22. REALLY late posting that I finished a great trade with Vince Nelson. CRS setting in. Thanks for the great trade Vince!! You were also my 1000th post. WOOHOO!!
  23. I'm sure he'll pop back up shortly. I haven't tried to p/m him, but he's pretty heavily involved in I.T. stuff where he works, and the last time they had a problem, he was pulling long hours at work. I haven't seen him on here in awhile though. Last time I talked to him, work was keeping him hopping.
