  1. That's cool! What scale is it?
  2. That too KOOL!!! I love it!!! You did an excellent job on it.
  3. Not a problem! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!
  4. I don't have a photocopier, so I took photos of the page in the book. Here's the earliest known pics of the K-Type wagon in 1977... Hope these help.
  5. The decal on the left side and right side are different. The left side has the stripe starting at the top on the hood side... And the right side has the stripe starting at the bottom of the hood side... The reason being is that if they were both at the top, the ZZ would be backwards on the right side. Hope this helps... Now pass me a Bourbon and Coke!
  6. It was open on my '77 T/A. Nice work you're doing with this build. I'm working on the US Airfix kit, and using a Monogram kit for the engine and so forth, but you've my build beat by a long shot. If you can find it, there is a book on the history of the Firebird Trans Am's from 1969 to 1999 written by George Scala and Wallace Wyss. It includes the history of the K-Type. Interesting side note, the first K-type was built in 1977, it had a standard non shaker hood, no flares, standard Firebird front fenders without the T/A scoops, and it had custom aluminum deep dish wheels that have what look to be 1/2 inch holes drilled in them. According to the book, Pininfarina's projected price estimate would've cost(in 1977 prices) $25,000.00 per body, Twice the price for a fully loaded Trans Am. According to the book, an after market company in California offered a package to convert Trans Am coupes to wagons... Hope this info helps a little bit
  7. So far so AWESOME!!! I like the idea of building it like they did in the same fashion. Looking forward to seeing more of this one.
  8. I know what you mean... I remember the first contest I entered back in 1982, I had built a 6 wheel van made out of 2 A-Team vans. I hand painted it red white and blue, and surprisingly enough, it won first place. The paint was unpolished, a little bumpy in some spots, the engine had no detail to speak of, no brake and fuel lines(no brakes either... "Jane, stop this crazy thing!!!), the list goes on and on. Now days, There's polishing kits made to shine that dull paint up, aluminum detailing parts for almost everything you can think of, resin trans kits, and the parts keep coming and coming. The modeling world has vastly improved, and is now better than ever!
  9. Oh man! This build just keeps getting more and more awesome! There are so many cool details to look at, it's hard to believe that this is 1/24th scale! I would love to see this in person someday! Keep up the good work!
  10. Well... 20 minutes have passed... Where's the next update? Looking forward to seeing the other one as well.
  11. Is it the Rescue 911 van? I have a set of decals for that kit if you need them. Let me know if you do.
  12. Sounds cool Kevin. Have fun with it, and update as much as possible!
  13. Cool Bill! I love it! You did an excellent job on that!
  14. Who makes the pad that is attached to your Black and Decker? That is something that would come in handy! Thanks for the video tutorials! And keep up the good job on the Magnum!
  15. I've got the same kit, but it seems to be fitting together okay. Was there a bad batch of kits maybe? Anyway, don't give up. I've seen people put kits together that were worse than yours, and the kit looked great! Keep the faith and just think it through...
  16. WOW!!! What else can I say...
  17. I'd like an e-mail copy please! That would be awesome!
  18. Here's a couple of pics of each one so far... I've already cut the engine out of the black one, and modified the engine to fit in it. The front suspension from the Monogram kit glued straight in gave it a lower stance which actually looks good to me. I'll post pics of it when I finish them. Thanks for the info and issue number. I'll have to see if I can find a copy.
  19. How in the world did I miss this build? Especially as big as the truck is, it should've been coming through the computer screen! Awesome job on the wrecker Sir! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of your skills in action!!!
  20. Nice work! I love the color you used on it.
  21. Well I will definitely stay tuned in for more! Nice vid! What paint did you use on the car?
  22. That is beautiful!!! You always "CRANK" out the coolest models Virgil!
  23. AWESOME!!! The details are perfect. I agree with the Doc, that would make a cool diorama piece, with a kid ripping around, but add a police car chasing him!
  24. Looks very cool! My favorite car was my '71 RR. I built a copy of it in scale and now I miss it even more... Love the paint on yours. I enjoyed watching this build!
