In the new year most likely I'll have done and ready in kit form ....I had several turbo Dodges, including a GLH Omni, quick even if rough cars, the Shelby GLHS proper cars are getting quite collectible now!

Look toward military PE parts for them, though typically are 1:35 or 1:48 scales, but still may work for what you want if you can find the right sized ones (despite scale) ...combined with the processed leatherette, or masking tape made simulated leather, should look good! http://www.bnamodelworld.com/eduard/ed-49062

Future floor polish, but it's not used for adhesion, it's airbrushed over the body and even clear windows, as a clear coat, and done correctly gives exceptional clarity to the parts The Elmers tip is a good one, I still tend to use Testors clear parts glue mostly out of habit I suppose

Thanks Mike, good info The example pic is just off the web, the one I'm doing is quite unique, but very similar to that one in shape and style, I can detail it further to be more exact from a resin pump set, but if I'm going to spend $20 on one small item, it would be nice to have the globe inclusive Jeff, do you have a link to the globes you mention? Thanks

Anyone seen one of these or similar, for a reasonable price , 1/24 scale, in their internet travels? I'll paint and make my own decals for it, but this basic pump with nozzle I found a couple on eBay, but are asking $30+ for them each, which is nuts IMO Please let me know of any leads, Thanks guys!

Very creative build idea, and looking great! Love the stance and look of it! I always loved the look of my old 1968 Ghia coupe, but it was a cancer problem underneath, so sold it, but still they are good looking cars!

Good progress, looking forward to seeing more! I agree with Dave Van, would be great to see more of these in kit, I have one on the shelf, and you can find them on eBay, several on there now in fact for about $50 per, perhaps I'll look at doing one after my M6GT kit build? McLaren should be as much vaulted as Shelby for his contributions, another American racing legend!!

I would suggest some slightly smaller O.D. tires, those are quite tall IMO, but looking good in the mock up there Mike! For the light covers, build in a rib of thin styrene rod, on each side, inset the thickness of your clear cover being used - easily cut from clear packaging - then use clear set adhesive to fix in place after paint work done, then will be flush fit result Similar to the manner I used here for headlight slats
