Hey Thanks! It’s a made up artwork for a box. I thought it’d look cool with the model. Here’s some update bodywork pics. It’s actually starting to look decent

I mistakenly posted my Rockford files firebird project under drag racing and I don’t know how to move it. But, here’s the pics of the body work started, as I’m trying to convert the Smokey Bandit T/A to a plain firebird body

Just wanted to show my in progress pics of my 1977 Rockford files firebird that I started today. I’ve seen some on the site that have turned out really nice, and it is a TV car so I decided to give it a try. I’ve been searching for a ‘74-76 formula and have all but given up, that is I’m not willing to pay close to 200.00 for one. I’ll keep searching and if I ever find one I’ll do one of those. So I decided to try and make the firebird body from the Smokey Bandit T/A. What I didn’t know is that the spoilers were molded on and flared out so now starts the body work. I think I just want to see of I can actually make it look like the firebird body. Here’s my progress so far. This one’s going to be a project...

Very sharp! I love the 60-70’s sports cars/race cars. I’m sure it’s a tough build.

Hey Guys, I wanted to post some updates on the Burt Reynolds White Lightening Galaxie 500. It’s another addition to my movie/tv cars collection that’s been on the back burner long enough. I started with the old AMT police interceptor as the base using most everything except the body which I used a missing link resins 71 Galaxie. I used the Hurst shifter from the Boss 302 / Mach 1 kit and added the pad printed G-years. The actual engine is a 429, not a Boss, but I used the police interceptor engine anyway, but I did have the correct air cleaner and I added wires. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for looking and the kind comments!

Hey thanks! Definitely one I’ve wanted to add to the drag racing collection, and finally did!

Hey Guys, just wanted to post my Little Red Wagon that I just finished. I’ve got a lot of started projects, so I wanted to finish one. There are some excellent builds already that i’ve Seen, so I hope you don’t mind seeing another. I didn’t add too much detail, just a chute release cord and a wire for the tach. I ended up gluing to doors shut as I got tired of trying to get them to work right. I did make a little diorama with the driver figure from jimmy flintstone’s mounted on a drag strip and a back drop showing Lions drag strip. Thanks for looking!

Looks awesome. Your kit inspired me to finally get this kit. Luckily 1 bought 2, as one had no decals! What color red did you use, and did you clear over the decals?

Dan Gurney AAR Cuda White Lightening Galaxie Cyclone GT
dragmodels44 replied to dragmodels44's topic in WIP: Model Cars
It’s PPG, clear, hardener and 10% reducer. It gives you that nice wt look. Thanks -
Hey Guys, just wanted to post some pics of the recently completed bodies I'm working on. Gurney’s AAR cuda, the 71 Galaxie 500 from the Burt Reynolds movie, White Lightening and a 70 Cyclone GT. The AAR had the rear fenders flared slightly and I scratch built the front spoiler. The Galaxie is stock, but will get a 429 built to look like it did in the movie, using the old AMT Police interceptor as a donor for parts. The Galaxie and Cyclone are missing link resins. The Cyclone has the interior almost done, along with the stock wheels with dog dish caps and RWL goodyears. I’m so backed up on projects, but I like to get the bodies done first. I can always go back and work on the rest!

One of my favorites, beautiful build.

That is cool! Did you make the decals then?

Very nice! I wanted to do a Glidden car, but wasn’t sure which one...I think I found it. !
-
Hey thanks Dave!
-
WOW, very sweet! Was that a resin? And from who?
-
Hey thanks, funny, I think those glue bombs we built as kids bring back the fondest memories. You didn’t care about details, being period correct, screw ups or after countless hours and then something goes wrong... you built it in one night and you admired it.

Thanks. It was a quick build, but it filled a void in my collection

Thank you! I hate these polar light chassis’ but it’s correct enough. Does anybody make resin square tanks, the PL ones are round. Or do u just make them from sheet plastic? -

I wanted to update the Goeske road runner. Here’s the rolling chassis with the body’s mocked up on it. -
