  1. NICE! I saw pics of yours when I was doing my research and I used yours and pics of the real car for decal placement. Your detail is amazing. It started to bubble after the second coat of clear, which means I would have had to stop, sand off all the decals on that side, reorder another set of decals etc etc... i just finished it. Also, I’m sure you noticed I added the cavalcade of stars decal but not the other ones. I just liked it. I’m sure nothing is going to fit right under the body. This is probably going to be a body down only funnycar! Oh well, still a cool car. Thanks!
  2. UPDATE ALMOST FINISHED, I mocked it up with both rear wheels, I just can’t decide which one to use. I still need wheel backs, but that’s about the slicks are too wide, but the resin 70s pro stock/super stock are wider!
  3. Thanks guys, I did one a while back but sold it. This ones a keeper. It’s the 2 part urethane, it usually comes out with a nice wet finish
  4. That is cool! I love any of the Sox and Martin cars
  5. Looks very nice, love the old gassers!
  6. Hey guys, just finished another body before the weather starts getting too cold. I saw the body and got a set of the decals so I could do this one eventually. I used hemi orange and two part clear. The drivers side came out nice, but I had some bubbling on the decals on the pass side. I was not a fan of this resin. I’m not sure who’s it was, it came from comp resins, but it was a yellowish resins and very thick. It’ll still make a nice shelf model and a nice addition to my Mopar models. I love the funnycars that looked like the actual car. I’m pretty much caught up on bodies now I have to build’em !
  7. I wanted to send a couple of updates on the Red Alert. I’m trying to add some detail, as it’s only a curb side. I fabricated the roll bar and added the correct automatic shifter. The body is foiled and the bumper assemblies are complete. I added a column mounted tach and I’m going to add the racing harness. I’m still waiting for the rear motor fly wheels from comp resins, or I just might use Spyder wheels.
  8. That’s absolutely bada$$!
  9. Thanks for the info and pics! I actually ordered both types from comp resins so I can decide when I mount them. This is going to be a quick one, as it’s a one piece body, but I needed to do a quick project, just to see something finished. I seem to do the body, set it aside then leave it until I’m in the mood. But, the painted bodies I never get tired of looking at! I will just add interior detail to it. I have to remember to make an automatic shifter.!
  10. Thanks for the info and compliment!
  11. hey Guys, just wanted to post a pic of my Red Alert, just out of the spray booth! I used the newly released Slixx decals and used the 70 SS 454 snap tite kit, as I’m just doing a curbside. I just wanted it in 1/25scale to go with my 1/18 version. I couldn’t find the full 1/25 kit anywhere and didn’t want to buy it off eBay. ( sick of it ) the hood decals were a little tricky around the cowl induction area and I had to cut them to get them to lay right, then touch it up a little. does anyone know what the actual car ran for wheels? 5 hole slotted?
  12. Hi, no, no relation. Was he the pro golfer? And thanks for the compliments. Still no Ross Gibson engine...
  13. Hey Guys, just wanted to post a few pics from my Mopar Missile Duster. Definitely slow progress and kit bashing all these parts, nothing wants to fit. Finally got most of the interior fit, with a partial roll cage. I used the kit glass from the 71 Duster, but it's so thick. I trimmed it down a little. It's looking ok, But at least I got some progress done.
  14. Hi Tim, I sprayed them with tamayi TS-14 black from the can, scuffed the body then decaled it,then air brushed 2 part urethane clear and that how they came out, no polishing. Thanks for the compliment.
  15. Hey thanks Ted!
  16. hey guys, just wanted to share pics of a new project. After doing the body of the Motown Missile Cuda, I wanted the Duster to go along with it. Starting with a comp resins 73 Duster and parts from the 71 Duster, I've been trying to follow a scale auto article to do the rubbed chassis. I pieced the chassis together using the front half of the Duster chassis and the rubbed half from the AMT Pro street Nova. It's coming along but still needs a lot of work. I got it together enough so I could paint the body. Here's some pics of the pieces and the two bodies together. I've had no luck finding a Ross Gibson Pro Stock Hemi, still looking...
  17. Thanks for ALL the great feedback guys!!!!
  18. Hey Guys, wanted to help with a few questions, the original wheels I used were ARII wheels. They came in a set for fronts and rears plus tires. They could be readily found in hobby shops, but no more. I see them on eBay for about 50-60 bucks. They used to cost 25 in the store. Still pricey but now they're ridiculous. The next best choice I found are the monogram slotted mags like in the Tom Daniel Vette, and some of his other kits. Good luck!
  19. Thank you. I used tamayi paints and used automotive clear, hardener and reducer sprayed out of my badger air brush
  20. Update, Just wanted to post a pic of the body decals and cleared!
  21. Here's an update, finally got the colors done, not without problems though! I was removing the tape after the blue, and dropped it on the roof, nicking it !!!!!! So... back to the paint booth, but I got it done.
  22. Very nice! I never saw the P/S version. Sweet!
  23. Hey guys, wanted to share an update on the Sox&Martin 1/24 Cuda. Finally got the hood/scoop right and got the first white coats on the body, not without a lot of redoing! I removed the molded in windshield water bottle and battery and filled them in with sheet plastic. I'm going to finish the white, then add the blue, then the red! I also received all my resin carbs and manifold and photo etched hardware.
  24. Thanks Snake! Just got back home from a Jeep Jamboree trip in MO. HOPEFULLY I'll have all the work done on the hood and I will start paint.
