As a former owner of a '66 Chevelle Deluxe Coupe you did a bang up job, a very well executed conversion, a lot of work but it is an outstanding model. You should be proud.

The model is nicely done and the diorama makes an awesome presentation, I liked the weathering on a traditional custom which is usually done in a gloss paint. It's a bit different which is nice to see. Great job all around.

It came out nice.

I repeat what everyone has said , beautiful build, it's well thought out, excellent craftsmanship, perfect paint and photos that compliment the car. One of the nicest models I've seen in awhile.

The dioramas are stunning. Very nice use of your winter time.

Nice job on the jalopy style car & nice conversion. Polecat decals has a large selection of vintage stock car decals. They are for specific cars but could be used to make a more vintage non NASCAR look. Again nice job. -
That is a model to be proud of, subtle undercarriage weathering, the detailing on the engine is excellent, the Fireball carb just adds to it. Clean workmanship. Congratulations on a beautiful model.

This is a beautiful build. You made a unique piece using various kits to complete it. It's so much more satisfying than just building the later Moebius kit. I always liked the Melrose Missle cars and this is a good example of one. Nice job ! I made a fictional racer out of a '63 Johan Dodge, used much from the Lindberg '64 Dodge for parts so I have an idea of the work you did.

Nice job on a tiny model !

Nice work. I like that era FED, even a bit earlier with the weed burner headers and chute pack aluminum bodies, will be looking for any updates. Stay well. -

Wayne thanks for posting the pictures. Also thanks for making the trip to attend the show as it's along trip from your area, Congratulations on your awards, your builds are always well thought out with superb craftsmanship. Your presence made the show that much better. -
As some have said, this is the best build of the kit I have seen, the kit leaves a lot to be desired but you showed what can be done with a lot of fabrication & patience. Great job on the car.

It's a beautiful build. A lot of thought & planning. -
Very nice build ! A full & speedy recovery. Take Care.

Very nice restoration. It's nice to see that it survived and you took the time to restore it. These old models are a look into our hobbies early history and our attempts at building in that era. I have a lot of my own early attempts at modeling, some too far gone to attempt a restoration however There are a couple I am attempting to make presentable. I have to restrain myself not to over restore as can easily happen. Great job Tim !

Very nicely done, the mirrors are a nice touch that sometimes get overlooked.

NNL Nats #40 In-Depth Coverage with all builders identified....
echo replied to tim boyd's topic in Contests and Shows
Tim thanks for taking the time to post the pictures and the comments with the builders name. It 's nice they get the recognition with their build. It looks like it was an unforgettable show, wish I could have attended, I recognize many models that I saw in the various model car magazines in the '60s, it's nice to see them again and to know so many survived. Thanks again.
