  2. Available now thru GW trucks is a quick way give your Lonestar a custom appearance! This set includes a replacement front bumper with new driving lights and menacing looking grill area, perfect for the low and slammed builds. Also is a pair of fenders with separate " hot rod" type headlights . This set is a direct replacement for the kit parts . Here's the parts mounted contact Gary Wallace for price info at gwtrucks@yahoo.com
  3. I just wanted to share a few images of the "special edition" parts that were cast for this build, so a test fit was in order !! I asked a local truck builder if he would handle the casting, and they 're back today !! The bumper and fenders fit perfectly onto the kit , so no changes were needed. ok...try to imagine the original lonestar. Pretty cool, but now... The set above is now available from gw trucks!!!! I'll post more info in the resin forum .. Jeff

  6. Looks good Mike...those front tires looks familiar!
  7. Thanks. Just a few more details to paint, and its finished.
  8. Thanks ! The lonestar really flows nicely w this scheme. Should make for something out of the norm on shelf!
  9. Wow, that would be an impressive model
  10. Impressive work! Thanks for the step by step build. Your brass working skills are amazing
  11. OH !! Just heard the fenders, and bumper are done, should have them soon for installation! I can't wait to see them on the truck
  12. As promised..ITS PAINTED !!!! well, almost. The truck needed several layers , akin to a camo scheme , to achieve the final look. The silver is MM aluminum, chrome is Alclad, and the black is Tamiya lacquer . JT should love the stripes..heard he has a thing for orange! Its testors International orange..fitting for the Lonestar. Heres the pics.. laying down the stripes..time consuming, but better than a decal in my eyes.. If your planning to model the HD, you'll need to change the side panels on the hood. I filed the kit panels , then layed thin .010 strips for the new sides. These received a coat of Alclad chrome. Well, thats it for today !
  13. Thanks, I promised pics of the paint. .and I won't disappoint!

  20. Looks good Dan !! Must be you moved the truck again..had to add another gusset !! The framework looks amazing, gonna look awesome under a coat of color! I remember my dad working on his bosses car hauler, and he was always reinforcing the trailer before another trip..seemed that trailer was a solid weld before it was scrapped. gotta see if he has any pics of it..
