  1. The repair looks good! The putty I use for areas like yours is Milli- put. It's a two part putty, spreads smooth, and can be shaped w a dab of water. Most well stocked lhs should carry it

  3. My holy grail would be a manufacturer create the front discharge mixer! Several of these pass me everyday, and would make a cool kit

  5. I'm assuming the thinner wall tubing is prone to kinking? A suggestion to fill the tubing w salt or fine sand , cap the ends it with tape, then bend slowly could help. I used the method on k/s tubing for exhaust and it worked great. Hope it helps Keep up the great work
  6. Now this is how a logging truck should look!! The frame wash and wear looks great, and the dusty dull appearance on the cab and tires..wow!! Did you seal the cat yellow then apply the wash? Thanks

  9. Thanks for the idea! I took a tour thru the firehouse and immediately realized the truck wasn't the same !! Our dept has a Spartan Evolution. ...guess I'll have to scratch one instead

  11. ok, quick question for the builders. I'm starting a build of Trumpeter's ALF Eagle, and would prefer to paint it "lime -yellow" like the local FD. any advice a brand of paint close? I typically use Tamiya or MM Thanks! Jeff

  17. Thanks...I've already Google lift axle. It's a tag..behind the drive axles on an Oshkosh front discharge mixer that. Just curious who makes the real one for better images
  18. The mixer I'm working on has a lift axle that I need to scratch build, and curious of the manufacture to have a better understanding of what I'm building. I am new to trucks so the major parts confuse me! here's a photo of the lift axle any help welcome! TIA Jeff
