  1. The wheel and tire pack has my interest. Depending on what they look like, of course.
  2. Auction of the last remaining bits of the recently defunct styling house, so if you're in the market for some Bertone memorabilia, here's your chance. https://www.astebolaffi.it/en/lot/102/1/detail
  3. Looks like a good choice to me.
  4. From what I understand the Ertl tractor kits weren't part of the sale to Round2, which is too bad, as imagine there would be some interest in American tractors. Some of the bigger 4WD tractors are petty wild pieces of machinery, though I imagine a 1/24 kit might be a little pricey
  5. The discussion about the state of 3D modeling and moulding tech, was very interesting, and provided much food for thought, but aparentyrise to the bait. And the fact still remains that if people are discussing something you aen't interested in, nobody's holding a gun to your head to read it.
  6. Hard to go wrong with a vintage Ferrari
  7. Any of the Pyro/ Lifelike/Lindberg 1/32 kits would do as a source for wheels.
  8. And of course BMW had some of the best looking Corvair clones. That rear engine may have been a bit of a dead end, but it seems everyone wanted to copy that body.
  9. Not just Western. THe NSU was the first Wankel production car period. And I have to say, the idea of a weird little German racing car has piqued my interest.
  10. Isn't that basically Round2's business model?
  11. Looks like this is what you want https://www.amazon.ca/b?ie=UTF8&node=7239440011 You can probably find places in your area that will do it if you don't want to invest in equipment
  12. Like a Fiat 131 rally car? Considering the other little Europeanb racing cars they've done, it seems like a pretty Tamiya choice to me. In any case, the good folks at Tamiya have been at this for a while, and I'm sure they have a better idea than you or I what their market wants.
  13. Sort of like how nobody could possibly want a Dodge Charger Daytona, seeing how they only made about 500. Tamiya seems to have done very well selling racing cars of all sorts, even small ones that aren't very well known here.
  14. Europe's a big market, and what's a weird foreign car here could be a big deal over there.
  15. Hindsight is always 20/20, but It's my understanding that the owners were away, and the fire was FAST. People were barely escaping with their lives as it was.
  16. Thee's nothing wrong with letting the companies know what you want, though I would suggest demanding and insulting isn't the best strategy. The fact that things do get reissued suggests it's not a hopeless quest. If you don't enjoy this topic, that's fine. Do what I do when people start going on about a topic I'm not interested in, and go find a topic you are interested in.
  17. Up to you how many times you want to keep doing the same thing, knowing you're going to get the same result. I certainly don't speak for the rest of the community, but I can fight my own battles just fine, thanks.
  18. Here's the rest of the collection if belonged to https://www.hotrod.com/articles/shop-visit-altered-wheelbases-and-indy-cars-in-the-cerveny-collection/ Apparently all of it's gone.
  19. Whatever the reason, we still keep rising to the bait. Sometimes the only way to win some games is not to play.
  20. Pyro did some '30s vintage Chryslers and Plymouths, but they wee in 1/32 scale. I imagine trying to make a 1/25 kit out of them would be a major undertaking. I certainly wouldn't object if Round2 were to bring back MPC's beautiful but finicky '32 Imperial.
  21. I like that. I have a Flyer in my stash that I want to tun into a stock version.
  22. Yes, drawing with a mouse is a pain, which, is why the first thing graphic artists do is get a tablet. Programs like Illustrator that use Bezier curves aen't as intuitive as a more conventional drawing program, but it's lot easier to make something with a mouse. And yes, learning this stuff is going to take time. The first time you put together a model, did it look like one of Time Boyd's? I'm going to guess the answer is no. No software is ever going to just let you just push a button and create a masterpiece.
  23. They'e already done a Vanquish, but more Aston's would be good. Hasegawa is doing Paganis, so why not a Koenigsegg? For my personal wish list, I could certainly go for a Lusso, and some '70s vintage Maseratis like the Ghibli would be very nice As for more modern cars, two recent concept cars I thought were really nice, First The Peugeot Onyx And if we're going to have Ferraris, how about the Monza SP2? If Tamiya wants to do some local stuff, How about this Mazda Vision Coupe?
  24. Fortunately, there are other companies who are happy to make new kits. I also like that Round 2 is giving us another chance at some old favourites. Not everyone can, or even wants to, shell out collector prices on eBay, and not everyone already has a basement full of these kits already.
