  1. An interesting choice, especially considering you could probably find a real Falcon to assemble for the price of that kit.
  2. It seemed a pretty simple, straightforward request, but it seems people instead see another opportunity to moan about "kids today"
  3. The faux patina is the part I think is stupid. If anything, electrification is just the thing for a lead sled, where the point isn't performance, but to look good.
  4. Silly? Compared to what? You could argue that the whole idea of drag racing is pretty silly, but sometimes a little silly is exactly what you want.
  5. You go do whatever you want. Go pile your money in the back yard and make a bonfire, if that's what makes you happy. I guess this means I'm not a "serious" modeler, but there's a limit on how much I'm prepared to blow on a kit, and if I can get it without paying collector kit prices, I can live with a re-issue. I buy kits to built.
  6. I'm a big fan of "What if?" space concepts, so I'll be watching out for that Convair Space Shuttle.
  7. Looking good I think the Standard grille looks better than the usual Deluxe grille in a custom
  8. Nice job on the wood trim. I have the convertible sedan version, and there's a number of things Italeri could have done better. but you have to love the Art Deco styling.
  9. I'm not holding my breath on any of this, but it is encouraging to hear that they were at least thinking about a new '34. Maybe if enough people let them know there's a demand for it...
  10. Any of those Monogram Fords would b most welcome. My dream would be to see them redone to the same level of detail as Revell's '40 and '48 Ford kits, but even done to the level of the originals would be nice. If they reissued the '36, they should definitely include the custom grille and headlights from the last one, and look into the feasibility of a chopped top as an option.
  11. The Chevette is a new one on me, and Google keeps bringing up the other Chevette. Does anyone have any background on the real car?
  12. It's not like I'm going to run out of stuff to build in the meantime.
  13. I want one of those.
  14. Looks like they're still good with all the Roth stuff
  15. I took another look at the Monogram tires. The fit the Cadillac wheels well enough, but their outside diameter is a little larger, and I wasn't sure about how they filled the wheel wells. So I took another look at the original, and that's close to what they're supposed to look like, so I think I'll go with there. Here's hoping I can scrounge up two more.
  16. This is why, when the talk turns to doing a '26 Ford roadster, I think tossing in the bits to do a stock version would not add that much to the expense of the kit, yet would broaden its appeal.
  17. And let's not forget that just because something in the same scale, that doesn't mean it's the same size. A Model T or a Topolino is tiny compared to your typical mid-century American passenger car. A stock T and a hot rod version, or two t based hot rods, or two dragsters fit in the same sized box as a promo based annual kit, and it looks like they use about the same amount of plastic. It would not surprise me if the reason for doubling them up was so people used to a kit filling up the box would still think they were getting their money's worth.
  18. Sorry, it's FCA now, isn't it?
  19. So, more Jeep DNA than any current Chrysler product?
  20. I'm going to take a wild guess, and say it's one of these?
  21. From the band that brought you Telstar. The older Canucks in the group will recognize the tune.
