Beautifully done, absolutely gorgeous build.

Wow, great build! As a former 1:1 66 chevelle owner myself I’ve got plans to build a replica of mine, ironically, I’ve built 4 of these so far but none were ‘my’ car, haha. love everything about your build, fantastic job!

Here are a few different looks to consider, maybe one of them will appeal to you. Wheel/tire choice makes such a huge impact on the overall build. Hope this helps some.

What floor would you have under your model build area?
tbill replied to GLMFAA1's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I have laminate flooring in my room, can usually hear the offending part bounce off of it so I can have a rough idea of direction of travel, haha. I have kits stacked under my build table, and sometimes the parts find their way into that abyss, I’ve been known to find awol parts a year or so later in there…. -

How to prepare painted surface for gluing
tbill replied to PHPaul's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I’ve been using canopy glue for those particular type items for awhile now ( cab lights/mirrors/air horns/grab handles) it dries clear and if any extra happens to squeeze out from under the part, it cleans off easily with a damp swab. -

Wilson Livestock Trailer.

Even if the tape degrades over time, you could pull the slats out again and re tape them. -
Great video Joe, thanks for putting that together and sharing it with us.

When I built mine, I slid all the slats into the channel on the roof, sanded them as required to make them move freely, then used masking tape to hold them all together. -

These type of weights are still used, new style chevy trucks use them on the transfer case of the non v8 models -
Picked up two of these at a show this weekend, (us release) both bodies were mint, no damage at all.

Corrected again, lol, I should’ve checked my reference material instead of my memory, thank you for setting that straight. -

Thank you for that information, I didn’t know you could get a 300 deluxe in an SS configuration, was this a 69 offering only? On a side note, I think I’ve only seen two 300 deluxe cars in person, one was a 66 and the other a 71. -

The SS was a ‘body style’ at least thru 1969, not an option package, as denoted by the vin sequence, SS chevelle vins started with 138, the ‘38’ denoted the body style. Just random info…. -

tbill replied to TransAmMike's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I’ve built 4 of these kits, and honestly don’t remember having any issues getting the body on. I can’t help but wonder if maybe you’ve got something installed slightly ‘off’ causing an interference? -
has anyone had any experience with?
tbill replied to Arkgene's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Give this a look, ( if the link works), I still have not finished this, but it’ll give you a rough idea of shop size and the kits I used, hope it helps.
