  1. wow, you don't mess around! looking good!
  2. to me, the first two pictures have better 'flow', just looks right, if ya know what I mean.
  3. got this stuff over the past week or so, got a smoking deal on the recovery truck, $29 bucks thru amazon!
  4. GM was fooling with this idea years ago, like 20 or so, at that time though, it relied on sensors in the road to navigate the vehicle. most of your crash avoidance systems only work over a specified mph, so, someone standing in front of a stationary vehicle trying to stop it's movement won't happen. as a new car dealership tech, I see all the latest/greatest techno-foolery that is on GM cars, some of it is cool and a good idea [blind zone detection, rear back up camera/or sensor system are a couple that come to mind], but ya, some of it is borderline insane. have you seen a new car owners manual lately? you need a few college courses to figure out how to work everything. at the same return, I bet 'back in the day' people thought turn signals and brake lights were foolish add ons, heck, we already have hand signals, who need blinking lights? myself, I am still waiting on the flying car
  5. welcome, and welcome back to the hobby. seems to be a trend, I was away from it for many years, and am loving building again.
  6. welcome back, I took a 20+ year vacation from it too, the addiction is much worse now, lol.
  7. that is too cool, that thing is huge! love the color scheme, looks awesome JT!
  8. wow, that is pretty [ya, I said pretty ]
  9. holy smokes! that could have been real bad! as for the beer, I find if I don't set it down, there is minimal chance of spillage.............until the right amount is consumed anyway, then all bets are off
  10. lets just say 'lesson learned' on that one lol. after the 'mis hap' it got glued/taped. probably needs fresh tape by now......
  11. that's pretty slick! nice build.
  12. happy birthday! I have a set of square tanks [ I prefer the round ones] let me know if you want/need them
  13. hehe, been there, done that with the paint stand.......now it's taped and glued together flawless paint finish, 'hey, lets flip it over to make sure rockers are well covered' .....2 seconds later, on the roof.......rockers were well painted by the way
  14. not enough dry time is my guess. if I am going to two tone, I do base color, then put it in a dehydrator overnight, let it sit the next day while I am at work, then I can tape off and do second color, I use lacquer mostly though. and I use Tamiya tape and frog tape.
  15. motor is about done, waiting on air cleaner housing to dry, for the life of me, I could not get the turbo ductwork to line up properly, but it's close have started on the frame bits now, have got the front axle assembled. have also been working on the trailer a little, just getting the sides to fit the top and bottom. thanks for playing along.....
  16. well.......i'm waiting............... looking better and better everytime you update! lol, you snuck the pic's of red in there while I was typing.............
  17. hard to add on to what's already been said, but WOW, just wow,..........amazing.............
  18. cool build, and even cooler group! looks terrific.
  19. you hit the bullseye with this dart! I know, but someone had to say it.... excellent build!
  20. beautiful job. now, lets gas it up and go for a cruise
  21. fantastic build, perfect looking model.
  22. beautiful, just beautiful!
  23. paint looks fantastic! decals.......micro-sol, works wonders on decals that have to conform to odd shapes/bumps etc, usually it takes a few applications, but makes worlds of difference. window glass/lenses, I have been using floor polish [pledge/future] it not only 'glues' the glass in, but gives it some depth/realism. just dip it in to coat it, let the excess run off, and install. look for some micro brushes, they are great for itty-bitty details, they are like a miniature Q tip [only way I could describe it] good work, look forward to your next build.
  24. wow, very nice work! love the roll up doors, and the bmf trick is pretty neat as well. looking forward to seeing more of this.
