    thank you, it was a tough build really, the kit is no where near correct and nothing really fits well. I don't think I would build another one

    Carl, got that to go with the 'joes garage' gas station kit that's on it's way. I got two of the gas station kits in the hopes of combining them into something cool..........time will tell on that...

    looks great! you can get good results from cheap paint, just gotta experiment some. I used rustoleum on this, with no clear, it was my second build after 20+ years away from this plastic insanity

    thanks. and yes, a little more detail would have been nice, especially the interior tub...the door panel lines are faint, and not very well molded. tail lamp fit could use some work as well. but alas, it is done and posted under glass. thanks for looking everyone.

    no engine at all, it's just a mass of wires/sensors/tubing. each wheel has an electric motor to drive the thing. they had to put something under the hood

    Bill, that looks fantastic! I really enjoyed building that kit, I hope you did as well. KJ, check hobby lobby, they have some 'jewels' that are close to what you are looking for, they are round [sort of], but may work for what you need. sorry to hi-jack, back to our regularly scheduled topic

    it's done, other than an outside mirror. did a lot of 'firsts for me' on this build in an attempt to get more detail on my builds. I have to thank Bowtienutz [for some detail parts/advice] and Hawk312 [for some painting advice he gave me in another thread], they both really helped make a difference on this project whether they know it or not. so, without further blabbing, here it is, thanks for looking.

    haha, I hear ya. I recently bought one of the 1/12 vette kits [can't wait till it arrives], when I get around to building it, your builds and this build thread will be my inspiration/motivation.
