  1. Sean, looking fantastic! that dash is stellar!!
  2. thanks guys ya, this kit languished for a long time, lol. the color is testors turquoise/clear coat [i think it's the two part type paint]
  3. yup, I voted for all the class 8 stuff too. some of the stuff has 'good' numbers, so maybe................

Stan, she is 'under glass' for more pic's. and thank you
  5. well, this started as a paint pig, the kit was long forgotten in my cellar, and rodents had had a chew at it, so I was going to experiment with paint on the body. as usual, when not trying too hard, the paint came out great, so I had to build it. Bowtienutz sent me some parts to complete this [thanks Vince], and I used the wheels out of the AMT 69 chevelle convert kit, and rear tires out of an AMT parts pack. it's been an on-going project, but other than the mirror 'disc', it's done. I also had some hood fitment issues, but not going to mess with it for fear of messing up the paint. anyway, here it is [probably some 20 years later]

other than actually putting on the mirror 'disc', this one is done.
  7. ....to the 'peter-rang'.................in my defense lois, I did pass the hospital............ lol, glad you think like me, this is gonna look cool as heck when done, keep at it!
  8. Ray, you scored! i'll take mine medium rare........
  9. this is pretty cool everytime I see the title to this topic it reminds me of the show 'family guy', if you know the show, you'll get it can I offer a suggestion? the headers, I think they would look cool if they were shorter and came out of your 'fuselage' portion of the body. just throwing that idea out there. looks cool, keep at it. also, when done, do you hang it up like air craft, or park it like a truck??
  10. who'd of ever thought 'exhaust fluid' would turn into a real thing???
  11. that's looking sweet! nice paint job, great looking truck so far.
  12. looking good, I like the red/black. look forward to seeing more progress on this, keep at it.
  13. thanks guys, now I wish the whole top of the truck came off, such a shame most of it will be hidden even with the cut out I made. maybe the next one I do I will try to open up the whole top. I find it funny that on the old amt kits, and the revell kits as well, that other than the dash, you sort of want to hide the interior due to lack of detail, lol. I've got most of the engine bits painted, may work on that some today if time allows. thanks again for the positive comments
  14. Bill, that is fabulous! that is going to look awesome behind the Pete! nice work man
  15. got some interior work done this morning,
  16. looking great! you guys are doing some great builds of these!
  17. JT, thanks for those pic's, that is one fine looking trailer! if I don't use that scheme on this one, one of my box trailers is for sure getting a paint job similar to that. I surfed the internet looking for trailer pic's, but couldn't find many good ones. this weekend should provide something i'm thinking......stay tuned.............
  18. great build, and fantastic photo's. I am starting to really like these 'Euro' trucks, have a few of them on order, just waiting for them to come in the mail.
  19. wow! that looks great, fantastic job. only thing I would suggest, fire the driver......the air/electric lines aren't hooked up, that load will be a handful down the road j/k, beautiful job.
  20. still rolling ideas around, I want it predominately white with some gold. if I the weather is crummy this weekend [like they are saying it's gonna be] I may shoot some paint on it and play around with some stripes/schemes. I will just have to make a bigger purple pond if it goes bad, haha.
  21. absolutely stunning.....................
  22. just read thru all 6 pages, wonderfull transformation of this kit! I gotta say, I like the body color [gorgeous on this car], and was a bit alarmed at the engine bay color.............until the body and motor were in there, then it just gelled beautifully. fantastic work so far, keep at, the honey-do list can wait
  23. looks great so far, this is going to be a nice build when you are done. any more progress?
  24. I just absolutely love that, just as it sits, that just speaks to me for some reason.
