  1. I'd love to see a resin kit available! My friend customizes 1:1 Lincoln hot rods.
  2. Thanks guys, great ideas/suggestions. I'll widen my search.
  3. Hey guys, I want to make a grille for my project but I'd like to build one from scratch as I'm approaching my budget limit for this project and don't want to buy too much else. I've looked at screen but think the holes are too big. Any ideas? The attached photo shows where I'm going. I will make cutouts for fog lights and open up the space between them in the piece I put in there. Thanks in advance.
  4. Brings back memories. A couple of cats I grew up with were big on bugs. Porsche engines and all that. Yours if right up there.
  5. Fit like a glove - good choice.
  6. Not familiar with that. Enlighten me, and thanks for the suggestion.
  7. I've worked on the chassis today and might have a solution. I didn't want to go with tubs but I made it workable by cutting them down. I might still add some smaller inner fenders. We'll see.
  8. Sweet. Haven't done work like that since shop class. Oh, they don't have those anymore do they!! Will be fun watching this come together. Love the craftsmanship.
  9. I like the build. I don't understand why someone would question you on whether it was real or not, doesn't really matter. Keep pushing dude. Good luck on the parts.
  10. Okay so I'm finally getting around to posting my projects. I've got 3 going - sort of. A 1968 Mustang which is almost done. Fairly out of the box build. 2006 Camaro concept which I bought as a parts car for my first build (my avatar). Its going to be a street racer with a pro-mod feel. My other project is a 57 T-bird that I was given. Since it was free I decided to go custom with it based on a concept car. Working on the body mods while I figure out what to do about the chassis. The suspension and exhaust are molded in and I don't want that. Any tips or suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.
  11. Getting back into models to improve my attention to detail at work (and I love cars). I've seen a lot of good work on the site and commend all. I found this site after researching other modified 57 T-birds and saw an old post of someone using some of the mods I'm proposing. Interesting that we had the same ideas years apart. My other project is a street rod Camaro. It was a parts car I used to customize the 62 Impala that is my avatar (note the wheels and cowl induction hood scoop. I'll be posting them soon and invite any comments. I'm not a kid so don't feel afraid to give me constructive criticism. Later.
