  1. Welcome Ken, sounds like you have the right attitude to me.
  2. Very good work. Clean build.
  3. Whoops, didn't pay attention to the question. I was thinking 1:1.
  4. If it shows through the primer (which I can see it does) it definitely will show through the paint. Been there, done that.
  5. Good start to the Bug.
  6. None were factory installed but there were dealers that would do it and it was rumored that a few existed. Check this story out. http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/ccrp-1004-1962-ford-galaxie/
  7. Welcome Bryan. I've been back for a little over a year now and have learned a lot!
  8. Very nice!!
  9. Great work, and nice concept. Looks like the 'Vette drivetrain is going to be popular this year. I'm using the setup from the C-5 Compuware Corvette.
  10. I've heard all of this before in the '80's. Our auto industry will adapt to government regulations and give the customer what we want. We have six cylinder and four cylinder turbocharged engines putting out the horsepower that V-8s put out ten years ago. It's evolution guys, that's all.
  11. Fantastic build. I love the hood hinges!
  12. Welcome fellow buck.
  13. Sweet Vette!
  14. Check out the vid halfway down the page. Well done video, and one bad GT. http://www.torqueandtread.com/speed/worlds-fastest-street-car-the-1700hp-ford-badd-gt/
  15. I like the Opal myself. Not a lot of room but it would be a worthwhile endeavor.
  16. Nice topic and good choices!
  17. Great ideas Pat. I may have to steal the half round idea. I don't use hangers anyway.
  18. Thanks guys, I guess I'll need to expand my list! I got the Vic and the pickup already.
  19. I've been looking for the 1956 Bel Air and all I've found was the Revell Del Ray kit and the Monogram Bel Air Classic Cruiser edition. Like Snake45 indicated, there's a big difference between the two. The Del Ray has a large B-pillar, and the door is shorter. As for the Classic Cruiser, It's a hopped up street rod version so if you don't want their canned look you will have to kit bash both. I'm going resto-mod and basically scrapping the stock suspension etc. anyway so its no biggie for me. I was born in '56 and I'm building a Ford, Chevy, and Chrysler from that year, and believe me the choices are limited!
  20. Scale Models by Chris has a five spoke Torque Thrust resin big littles but you'd have to paint the centers. They have an aluminum finish, not high polish chrome though. I got Centerlines from him and they were pretty good.. You could also buy a set of five spoke chromes and remove the chrome from the centers. I've done that manually and it takes a lot of time and care but it can be done.. I love that look myself.
  21. Nice build Chris. Looks like you put a lot of work into it and it paid off.
