FORUM CHANGES THREAD
MeatMan replied to iamsuperdan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think asking for a wish list of changes invites requests that aren't in line with the goals of the forum. I think having a direction you're trying to go in with the changes would get more focused ideas. What direction should the future of the forum take? What do you want to accomplish thru change? I've made this forum the only one I'm an active member of because of how its structured, so I think change should focus on what could really improve it in the eyes of the users. Anyway, kudos to you guys for a great forum. -

Is it as bad as a van, or a truck? You can detune something like that to change the axle ratio, run on one carb, and its light weight. The biggest issue would be with the big rear tires. If you look at the chassis pic, it has an expanded main fuel tank, with two saddle tanks. In the end its all I had in the model year range, and I was not about to buy another kit. Your reply is appreciated tho. -
Wow! I had to look that stuff up. Sounds like a better option for curved glass, and your results look great. Any chance of a how-to?

Hello, my name is Dennis, and I too suffer from IHS. 😅 I've always loved the lines on the Atlantic but never thought to try to change it. Fantastic project idea. I love customs!

Calling the Vega done! Also, please remove the Monza from the list (#10). I like how this one turned out. -
Any Other '69 Pontiac Owners?

Seeing that yellow took me back to mine that I had in 1975. I left it in my parents back yard when I went to the Army and my brother convinced my mom to get rid of it. It had been stolen and the engine was gone when I got it back, so I swapped it out for a 350 SBC engine. Had headers and everything. I wanted to kill that fool! -
I have a Elegoo Mars 4 12K and love it. As for size, I do almost all parts. I don't have a demand for bodies, so the cost/benefit isn't there for me. If you want to do bodies on the regular, by all means get a printer that works for that. Me, I struggle to fill my plate a lot of times. I plan my builds and make parts for future builds so I'm not printing one or two parts at a time, but that means opening boxes. While you're thinking of buying a printer, do your research. Check out vids on different ways to print. I used to empty my vat after each print. I was running thru FEP sheets at a crazy pace. I learned to only empty it now when I have a failure (which I haven't had in over a year) and then use the vat cleaning process to harden a thin layer of resin and then pop it out. No alcohol needed. Also look at resin types, consumables necessary, and costs of them. G'luck.
