Do you also have 1:1 project cars?
MeatMan replied to ctruss53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dude, that takes me back! That was my first car, same color outside but solid color seats. My grandma gave it to me. It had been sideswiped on the passenger side and it had fairly minor dents in both doors, but it was a one reliable ride that took me thru my senior year in high school. -
Nice!

When I was in the Army at Fort Knox, one of my friends had a green one like that. I loved that car, and she looked good in it too! -
I had finished most of this build last year but placed the windshield on a spot of glue that had spilled. Techman supplied me with a replacement. Thanks. I used the AMT 69 442 kit to make this. I just wanted a quick little build to get me back on track at the time. Just glad to get it on the shelf now. Nice little kit.

2025 Cannonball Run - 50 years since the 1975 run.

Got most of the design work done on my Vega. I didn't like the chassis. It was a street chassis that they just cut to clear the racing slicks. Initially I was just going to back half it but didn't like the fact that there was no frame there. The black part showing on the chassis is a prototype and not a final piece. The engine is from Texas 3D Customs with my designed & printed rocker covers and air cleaner. The hood is SMH. The rear spoiler is altered from a Skyline, and the chin spoiler is from the 70 1/2 Camaro kit. That orange is a dead giveaway. I cut the ends off and the rest lined up pretty well. I just need to fill the gaps and mud it up. I designed & printed a new grille and split bumpers. I'm reprinting the bumpers because I goofed chroming them. Not shown is the dash. I cut out the gauge section and am going to print a replacement section with the Vega GT look. Tach & speedo in the center and two smaller gauges flanking each. I'm printing some door panels but not sure if I'll use them because I'll have to cut the old ones from the interior tub and I'm not sure how that will work, but the kit ones are poorly detailed. Thanks for looking. -
I guess I'm just different. I think customs are just expressions of people's imagination. Don't get me wrong, I don't like this style at all, but I'm not gonna bash someone for making a custom I don't care for. Heck, there are George Barris & Gene Winfield customs I don't like, but I respect their imagination and the work they put into them. I don't think customs should have a limit, or a "formula". I say do what excites you.

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum. There is an Information link on their page with the owners name and a link to contact him. Did you try that?

Absolutely. My daughter works for a transcription service and their work has gone down tremendously. I don't know how long she plans to hang in there with it. -

Okay, so I asked it to give me a fuel pump for a 1970 454 Chevrolet engine and here is what it whipped up. LOL -

I just read where there is an AI company whose goal is to replace human workers. It's an impossible goal but it begs the question of; "Who will have jobs in the future that pay enough to buy products from companies that don't use humans?" In this instance I see a lot of game coders out of work. -

Hey Gang. I seem to be snakebitten with my Monza build and challenged in getting back on track, so I've decided to add another entry in tandem with the Monza. I'll be entering the 1973 Grumpy's Toy Vega. I'm not sure what I want to do with it but I won't be doing the level of mods I'm doing on the Monza. I want to have an entry done early this year (for me). -

No I didn't check it but it did stand out as a possible issue. Thanks.
