Hey Scott, what tires are you using on this build. They look huge.

If you don't go with the caps, I suggest that the lug nuts get some rust treatment. Me, I like the caps, at least on most of the wheels.

Yeah Rob, I've seen it in a truck bed as well!! Invest in a lot of insulation!!

Just a quick update. I finally think I got the rear axle setup to work. It sits a little high but it needs to clear the transaxle. Oh well.

I hear you Fred. Here is what I wound up doing. I used the wheel backs for those same wheels. In the end the exposed rim looks like a whitewall, so I left it white.

Worked all day to get the front wheels to fit inside the wheel wells (barely). I'm working on the rear suspension now which has been problematic because its an independent rear suspension and the setup is way different than what I'm used to but I've got some ideas. Now that I have the front wheels on I have a ride height to aim for.

Sorry I never replied to you Steve but I hadn't been back to the post. I'm not using a booth right now. Just a paint mask and spray a little at a time. I'm glad you posted this because it pushes me to go ahead and build mine. I'm still scared of of the brush vs. brushless issue. Even though the one guy hasn't had a problem using a bathroom fan I'll err of the side of safety and pay a little more for a brushless. Good luck with your booth. Please post when you get 'er done.

Thanks Jonathan, I actually used a tack rag trying to get the lint off of them and they turned out that way. I used Black Magic tack rag from the auto parts store.

Geez, I wish I had read this before this past weekend when I bought the J-B quick. Oh well. As for Devcon, my brother-in-law used it many moons ago to fix a cracked block on a 390 Ford. He bought the motor not knowing it had a crack under the intake manifold. It ran for at least 3 years with no leaks.

Scott at Futurattractions has a 351C. Its a racing version with a Lenco though. Lenco is not attached to the engine. Good luck.

I wasn't going to post this because I made some boo boos but I decided to post it with lessons learned. The Revell 458 has some good and bad things. I like the interior detail but the fit on a lot of the parts is left wanting as you will see. I had to do a lot of trimming to make the windshield fit. The rear hatch was warped but Revell replaced it (thanks guys/gals). The hatch doesn't fit flush though. I fabricated the spoiler and exhaust tips I messed up the front window masking and the rear window tint tho. Otherwise I like the results. This was my inspiration: This is my work:
