  1. What's the difference between Testors clear parts glue and 'canopy' glue?
  2. Tye, I don't know about that kit but Speed City has a resin long nose '66 Corvair funny car kit for $40.00, looks pretty close. I just love the idea of a funny car Corvair. http://speedcityresin.com/GMPage.htm It's at the bottom of the page.
  3. Nice work Jean, looks very convincing. The weathering on the radiator support looks excellent.
  4. Anthony, nice work. Keep the hood purple!
  5. If you can, you could bare metal foil the door panels and cut out what you want red and spray, same thing on the front seats. That's how I did the two tone door panels on my '71 duster.
  6. Great work Stan, I miss the green though Those valve covers are marvelous!
  7. Looks great Paul! I know what you mean about painting by hand with a brush! Gotta get in the Zen mode.
  8. Nice build Gerald.
  9. Get a little Pee Wee Herman figure. This is awsome Michael! How's that door coming? Hope it's not too damaged.
  10. I'm glad to know this. I thought it was Westley's Bleach White or nothing if you wanted it to work out right. What is the hood for Carl?
  11. Mike, What kind of paint melted the plastic cup?
  12. Thanks Dale, I didn't think so either. But, I've read where people do. The instructions don't call for any sealer and I'm just using it on headers.
  13. I just got the Tamiya 'D' weathering kit and I've read that you might want to put a sealer on after using it, to keep it from smearing? If so, should I use laquer? Thanks!
  14. Looks good Jeremy. Keep it going.
  15. John, how's it gonna work over Tamiya Matte White? 'Cause that's what's on the headers now. And I think that probably changes how I should apply it, versus putting it on something representing metal. I guess I'll do some googling to find out what white headers look like after they've been used for awhile. Nice bike for sure! Beautiful.
  16. Beautiful work JC, you bring your best on every build I've seen.
  17. Looks good Rudy, that paint job/color is awsome.
  18. Looks good Stephen!
  19. Very, very nice Mitchell! That paint job/color is awsome, looks almost 1:1. Engine work looks superb as well. I'd bid on that model.
  20. Great info Bill, for many reasons, thanks much. It looks like at this point because the kit magneto cap is 'so' small I will just have two hole on the back side for the two groupings of wires, at least they'll be on the correct sides and going to the correct cylinders. It's just too small, at least for me, to get eight holes on the back of that cap! I should have been an auto mechanic, I love this stuff!
  21. Dave, was/is it an older 392? I ordered the Tamiya weathering kit for doing burnt metal, there are several different kit varieties. It looks kinda like a woman's make-up kit, it's got three big squares, pink color for burnt metal, then a light blue, and some kind of brown for oil stains. The applicator has a angled sponge on one end and a brush on the other. It looks pretty cool.
  22. And the valley cover turns the crank, right? I think I see the 'er of my ways.
  23. Carl, did you mean the valve covers? Or, headers? I just orderd the Tamiya weathering set for doing burnt metal/oil stains etc,....!!!!!!!
  24. Carl thanks, I'll check out that Tamiya weathering kit. I'm gonna leave the valve covers gloss black like they are. That's the way many (all?) 392 valve covers's of the vintage this kit represents came, at least from the pics I've seen.
