  1. And another from me, excellent work.
  2. I wasn't sure what to expect - stunning build!
  3. Lovely colour - what paint did you use?
  4. Nice looking 32 - is this the Revell kit?

    '53 Corvette

That looks great, I really like these early vettes.
  6. Afv thanks - you are correct - I meant to type 911 - although I would love to see a 991 too. Ace garageguy - thanks for this I didn't know about the Testors range, I don't think they were ever sold in the UK. The Fujimi 356 kits now command silly prices.
  7. I'm on a bit of a Porsche building run at the moment and looking to widen my collection. Can anyone tell me if the Revell and Italeri kits of the 911 in various forms are the same kits as Revell? Are these just re-boxings or different moulds? Fujimi seem to have some overlap also but I'm not aware that Fujimi ever shared kits with anyone else.
  8. That is really good looking. I've avoided this kit - the Revell box art doesn't look very appealing but your build really captures the feel of the car. What disappointed you about the ZP 1K clear? I've got some of that that I haven't used yet?
  9. Lovely build - what colour is the interior - I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, I think it looks excellent.
  10. Thanks for this David, I'll have a look at these. I look forward to hearing how your casting goes.
  11. David, catching up with this again. We used some of the diorama debris molds for our Gulf station. The drain pieces more often than not cracked coming out of the mold. What material were you using for the castings?
  12. Ha ha - same as me. I found all sorts of VW based oddballs but not this one.
  13. I have no idea what that is but it sure is ugly. looks like it was put together from about 10 different cars. Looking forward to learning what it is.
  14. Great work, I really love these old gas stations. You've captured the atmosphere very well.
  15. Not been here for a while and these interior photos are really atmospheric. I know what you mean about interior detail but having been looking at showroom interiors for another project there isn't actually that much. Maybe the addition of skirting boards (to soften the wall to floor join), plug sockets, brochure rack and some pictures on the wall would be enough.
  16. Stunning, lovely colour scheme too. What is the main colour? Don't think I have ever seen one of these built before.

    Manx Dune Buggy

That really nails it, love the big metal flake paint. That finish looks exactly the way I remember them. Wish I'd picked up one of these kits now!
  18. Hi Bill, thanks for this, I've got the dimensions from your Need Help post. One of the guys in our club does some pretty good resin casting, such things like WW2 aircraft bomb bay interiors and he's goint to try some pumps for me. I'll probably go for a kit of parts type approach with some flat panels first.
  19. Absolutely superb Bill, clever use of materials too. Would you mind sharing the pump dimensions? I'm looking at some simple resin casting of various styles of pumps. I'll be following this thread with interest.
  20. No idea, but I see many different styling influences in that body shape.
  21. You look as though you could get used to that! I notice a Dresden registered car (an S3?) in the background of one of the shots. That would be a really good drive in one of those.
  22. Good advice there. I'd also recommend you build something, anything really to find out what materials, techniques and tools will suit you best. Even quite small buildings take a lot of effort if you want a decent level of detail.
  23. Looking good David, hope it gets the recognition it deserves and you enjoy the weekend.
