Four door or sedan/post interest
chitownbri replied to disconovaman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd love to see an eighties caprice done but without readily available police car decals I don't think they would sell well enough. -

Moebius 67-72 Ford Pick-up news
chitownbri replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Some good news in regards to the '70 f-100 kits; the molds for the body parts have been polished out so no more grainy sand blasted texture. Thank you Moebius! -
That is just absolutely hideous looking.

Dipmobile? Build idea? Anyone?
chitownbri replied to oldcarfan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It looks like it was based of the Italeri DAF 2800. http://italeri.com/scheda.asp?idProdotto=2064&idCategoria=7&idSottocategoria=34 -

Build journal anyone?
chitownbri replied to Fanof69's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I keep a log book for my nascar builds, I find it helps to keep track of what I need for donor kits. I keep them categorized according to make and year group(i.e. '95-99 chevy). I write down the year, car#, sponsor and then i have columns that I check off when i have the donor kit i need. And then when the build is done i highlight the entry in yellow so that way i know not to count that one anymore. As for my street cars and trucks i don't keep any records of any sort, its a hobby for me so therefore its irrelevant to me as to how much i paid for it, how long it took to complete it and so on. -
MPC late 70s Chevy p/u
chitownbri replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The MPC GMC Fall Guy truck has the bed you're looking for, its based off of the same tooling as the Chevies. The Fall Guy truck is being reissued in February 2016 as just a regular '84 GMC truck. -
I'm not sure . . .
chitownbri replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Cool to see that I'm not the only reefer mechanic on this board! I know I've left several tools inside them too. The one that pisses me off the most is the matco led inspection light I left in some guys tractor after working on his tripac. -
I'm pretty sure that pic was from the big warehouse fire here in Chicago a few winters ago.

I agree on the storage box lines, get rid of them. I also hope they provide the right bumper/grille combination(preferably the fall guy grille).

Are NASCAR kits falling out of favor?
chitownbri replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I used to be the same way, I wouldn't miss out on watching a race. Now I rarely make an effort to watch a race these days but I still enjoy building nascar models. -
With it being under the MPC label i wonder if its going to be the fall guy truck?

chitownbri replied to magicmustang's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wish they would make a display case for big rigs. -

Want to see EXCESSIVE?
chitownbri replied to jbwelda's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I"ll guarantee you the bidder thats doing the nickel and dime bidding is the seller, I see it happening all the time. And if the seller ends up winning his own item all he has to do is cancel the auction, that way the item can be relisted and the faux buyer is off the hook.
