  1. Well if the vote had gone the other way, Uncle Sam might have been involved as part of a NATO peace keeping force!
  2. Back to the topic - The famous Denis Jenkinson, aka DSJ, Motor Sport magazines European correspondent, was once stopped while in a 300SL Gullwing by a policeman who insisted that DSJ open the drivers door. Despite repeated warnings to stand well back the policeman stood his ground and insisted that the door be opened immediately. It caught him neatly under the chin!
  3. That's two things I've learned today on this forum.I guess the crew had to be really really careful how far off the ground they were before deciding to vacate the aircraft that way! Ejection I've got to escape Ejection Only one move to make Ejection Abandon this crate Ejection (off Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters, Hawkwind)
  4. Lovely car, lovely model, lovely colour!
  5. Okay here's some more! I will watch her dive beneathThe white cascading waters She may beg, she may plead She may argue with her logic And then mention all the things I'll lose That really have no value In the end she will surely know....
  6. "Ekranoplan" is a Russian term for "ground-effect vehicle". We call 'em WIG (Wing-In-Ground-effect). They don't actually fly, but stay in ground-effect. The big ones were intended to be high-speed missile carrying surface-attack alternatives to subs. Thanks for that Bill. I love stuff like that.
  7. Good news for Scotland, the UK and for me personally. But it's all a bit of a farce since we live in a world of multinationals!
  8. I thought this would be easy - it's used in the best file ever made - Easy Rider!
  9. I love this car, what a great model.
  10. And why wouldn't a modeller have a scar on his forehead? (oh no I see a 'modelling scars' thread looming!) Seriously your idea is great, I love models within models.
  11. That reminds me - where I lived we used to get Kentucky Fried punctures!
  12. I'm half English half Scottish - where does this leave me?
  13. Maybe you could get them under copyright!
  14. I'm trying to work out where the luckless pilot was strapped in - did he /she sit just in front of the tailfin?... I guess it was either 'fly that or it's the Gulag Archipelago, comrade!' I thought I knew about planes but I've never seen those Russian devices - what's 'ekranoplan'? Never saw the fat Lockheed device either.
  15. But nothing like as pretty (I mean evil)!
  16. Yep! He does a great rock radio show that we get here in Wales, incredible guy.
  17. The ideal shopping vehicle, much more manoeuvrable than a Tiger! I like the thinking behind this, wonder if an aerial would look good - I always used to add one made of stretched sprue. But anyway your model is just fine!
  18. And if you think I'm ready You may lead me to the chasm Where the rivers of our vision Flow into one another
  19. I'm sick and tired of hearing things from uptight short sighted narrow minded hypocrites
  20. We can't even think of a word that rhymes...
  21. Buffeting, buffeting....! Where is she now? And these (lifting bodies - no wings!) :
  22. I did wonder, Tulio. Including your mention of the resin version! Lets hope between us we haven't spoiled anyone's enjoyment, I really don't think there is a lot to go on out of our posts in the end. But you're right in that we have to be careful.
