  1. The idea has been seeded.................................. Lookin' forward to seeing the final results of this!
  2. Amen to that!!! I do like 'em all like Wayne said but this is a nice design!
  3. That'll never happen right there at least with the current materials and technology. Those cars are packed with stuff like bracing and safety as well as creature comfort components from one end of that car to the other. While I'm not a fan of the layout of the interior and the lack of blind spot vision(or the fact that you have to remove the dang windshield to get the HVAC case out!!) in these cars I do see a reason for their size and subsequent weight. I had an 89 Mustang for years (and I know this is like comparing apples to oranges but stick with me here on the point) that clocked in at 3133 lbs. It was light , small and after I got done with it , fast. If I ever were to have gotten into a real crash with that thing it would have been over. The newer Camaros and Mustangs are bigger cars and alot heavier to allow for surviving the same crash that the older ones would not have. I do wish there were better materials and better technology available to where they didn't have to be so big but thats the way it is for now.
  4. That's a neat looking bird! Never knew they existed.
  5. Here's a lot more clear picture of where I'm headed with the brake booster/ master cylinder linkage/ pedal setup:
  6. Man I know there's a lot of engineering goin' on with this build! Great work Dan!
  7. Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a finish on that paint. Good Lord!!
  8. Welcome to the forums Dru!!!
  9. Thanks Carl! It'll be on down the line after I get through with this one and at least one more but it's coming..................
  10. Heya Russell. The best thing I can tell you is to grab a kit, stick to the basics to start off with , browse the forums and look at how folks are building and don't be shy about asking questions. Looking forward to seeing some builds bud!
  11. Well welcome to the forums there Gary!
  12. Man that's great news Ray!!
  13. That finish looks beautyful!!!!
  14. Seems like Ford and Chevy are going for a more streamlined look these days. Outside of the terrible blind spots the Camaros have they aint that bad of a car and I kind of like the way they are headed really. They had their fun with the retro look and it's probably time to move on before they completely wear it out. From a technical stand point...........I'm just glad the convertible top is of a new design. That last one was freekin' terrible!! And I do speak from LOTS of experience on those. Sheesh!!!
  15. Tommy: That 69 Mustang resin conversion looks suuweeet!!!!!! I've been on a hunt for the Street Demons kits for the last few months and have picked up the 56 F-100 (which I'm building here in the truck section) and now the 29 Model "A" Pick up. The Sedan Delivery and the Chopped Duece kits are aplenty but the 29 Model A Pick up, the 41 Willys and the 54 Chevy Panel Wagons are somewhat hard to find. I did manage this in the mail just yesterday though:
  16. Beautiful looking build. I built one of these in 2003 or so and it dang sure didn't turn out as good as this!! Great save Michel!!
  17. Lou O said what I was thinking. I wasn't expecting all that under the hood!! Great build and pleasant surprise under the hood!
  18. That's a good lookin' build Aleksander!
  19. Hang in there brutha Bill. I know that's a tough one to make.
  20. Thanks Dan! I see mods on the horizon already for that one! Thanks to you Tom! It'll be a while till I get over that one completely. She was a real pal.
