  2. Lookin' top notch so far Dan!!! I'm really liking the alclad. Man I shoulda bought some Alclad chrome while we were at the show!!!! Lookin' forward to more bud!!
  3. Well the hard efforts of Saturday night at the hotel and this morning have paid off finally. I've got the cut out cleaned up and ended up having to shave some plastic off of the bottom of the hood scoop so that the chrome air intake horn would clear the scoop. That thing is tight on the clearance!!! The scoop is only about .032" thick now in the center and I started with .058" !!!! I have the holes drilled in the hood and in the edges of the scoop so I will be able to pin it in place to make things easier to install later. Still gotta prime it and paint but here it is so far:
  4. This day goes out to all who have fallen.
  5. Carl: I've got a schedule to keep you know. . We got back home yesterday around 2 or so. Man I was scratching all night at the hotel after you posted that. lol . I managed to get the cut out in the hood completed and now have to clean it all up. Greg: You betcha!!
  6. That JC......is totally awesome!! Man that's a busy interior!!
  7. Looking really good Fred!!!! I like that rack and pinion steering as well as the color!!!
  8. Man Tim you've got no kick comin' with that! Interior looks great!!!!
  9. My son and I are in Sugarland this weekend for a hockey tournament that he is playing in and wouldn't you know it that I brought along the travel work bench items.......I'll have that hood completed this weekend with the hole cut out for the carburetors and cleaned up. In my die hard fashion:
  10. If a 4 cylinder Camaro ever came through the dealer for service I never saw it. They've had 3.6 liter V6's until recently. I do remember those SVO Mustangs ...man those were lil' smokers back then for sure!!
  11. Monty: I applied a couple of misting coats on first and allowed to dry for about an hour and then shot the finishing coats on. I've got an article on it if you or anyone else are interested. Jim: Thanks man! Hope your trip goes well. Back to engineering progress this morning. Nothing worth takin' pics of yet.
  12. Thanks Bruce! That open wheeler of yours looks great. Say................I know a thread where that build would fit perfectly!!
  13. Keep at it there Justin. The build looks great so far man! Hopefully work'll settle down for you soon.
  14. Both of these cars are beautiful and deserving of the attention they attract. The second one though.......................now that's an aggressive looking car.
  15. Great to have you aboard Gary! Build away bud!
  16. Tim: I've got some time between now and the clear coat but I'll keep you posted on that. JC: Thanks man! I used to attempt to make the most out of the molded detail but it just aint worth it these days. Carl: I appreciate it man. I'm using Model Master Dark Red in the spray can. Learned a couple of tricks with the rattle can usage along the way and so far... it's working. Dan: Man I hope so. Thanks BTW
  17. Great subject and will be looking forward to the build!
  18. I can't wait to see how this is gonna wrap up. More pics please brutha Ira!!
  19. Model Master Enamel there Tim. I looked high and low and couldn't find a shade of Tamiya acrylic that I was happy with. Everything l looked at was just too bright of a color. I've got your notes for future use with the acrylic paints but just couldn't bring myself to change up shades of paint on this build.
  20. Although the picture doesn't depict the exact shade here ( just short of a blood red actually) ...something tells me that I'm really gonna like this paint ! It is the exact shade of red I was after.
  21. This is gonna be a freekin' cool build Ray!!!! I'll be watchin' this one!
  22. Christian: I see now about the Budweiser Clydesdale Team display. I was wonderin'. That street organ stuff is wild!!!
