  1. Looking forward to seeing that bare metal look body. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Nice project.I had no idea this kit even existed. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Now you're talking!Low stance, monster motor, bigs and littles on vintage wire wheels.Looking good so far. Please keep posting progress photos and thanks for sharing. For those the the U.S.who don't know....BUCK stands for Builers of U.S.Cars.Some of those guys traveled to the NNL nationals twice(!)at Toledo.Great guys and great model builders.
  4. Very impressive scratch building on display here.Great start.
  5. Any updates Gene?
  6. You sir are working on a '33 Willys coupe.
  7. Like I said at the NNL,I think this would make a great mobile model shop. You could line the walls with shelves filled with scale model kit boxes. The outside is going to be a great space for some killer graphics. It's "hip to be square".Quick.....somebody should write that line down...it would make a great song title!
  8. It was nice to meet you and your friends at the NNL last Saturday. You guys are in the minority in that crowd due to you all still being young enough to have your original hair color(or hair at all for that matter)! I love everything about this build. The tank-in-suitcase idea is kick ass slick.Everywhere I look on this model the inovation and creatiivity are so plainly evident it's scary. Thanks for adding your models to the great display at Toledo.Hope to see you there next year!!
  9. Thanks Art.It was nice to see and talk with you at the NNL National last Saturday afternoon.Looking at your posted photo I see that those rear doors are also shaped differently as well, with a more curved shape at the lower rear corner. All will very helpful indeed.
  10. Ray,I am starting a '25 touring car and am wondering if you moved the rear doors and if so much. Thanks!!
  11. Good luck locating some modelers in your area.I took a few things to a small show last weekend and another fellow asked me where I live.We found out we only live a few blocks apart and neither of us was aware of it.It seems like every time I post anything here I get a very positive reaction from someone somewhere that helps with what ever I'm doing.
  12. I have started putting a touring car body and Art's photos are being very helpful.
  13. Just thinjking that a post on this forum asking if any other modelers are located in your area might just provide some new contacts for you.Good luck either way.
  14. you might check with other modelers in your area to see if anyone has a diorama in 1/25 that you could photograph your cars on.
  15. Very realistic model. In a truer scale setting it would be very difficult to detect that it is 1/25 scale. One to be very proud of for sure.
  16. I recognize the terrain in those out of doors photos......OMG.....that's the actual road that leads to the batcave!!Nice build with great attention to authentic details. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Please consider bringing along some of your printed/and or cut out pieces to display along with this very inspirational model. Thanks!!
  18. Please feel free to completely overwelm us!!
  19. Be sure to bring this along to Toledo this weekend whether it's finished or not and display it on the work in progress table. It's sure to be a very inspiring project for a lot of us to see.
  20. The "up"side of very little info on your project is it makes it more difficult for those "nay-Sayers"who are always looking for errors in the models built by others(you know who they are) to find things wrong.
  21. Very nice!Thanks for sharing.
  22. The last few years I have building a few rather complicated very early models of commercial vehicles like my 1925 Ford model TT wrecker with about 95 percent of the parts building scratch built including a wooden cab and hand crank wrecker boom.I now have about a year in this one,in fact I was still adding more details to it about 15 minutes ago. I do a ton of on line research to determine the exact dimensions and proportions of the various components including as many original manufacturers literature as I can find.I print photos of most everything then measure the important parts and put those parts right on the printed pictures.I find this helps preserve correct proportions. The dimensions drawings sometimes make for neat display materials when appropriate. The dimensions then are transferred to the raw materials and cut to size for assembly. This same system applies to the last three buildings I built for dioramas.
  23. I am sick of all the senseless violence everywhere we look.Every time we turn on the news the big lead stories are about death, destruction and mutual hate somewhere in the world.with another mass shooting in Oregon today at a small college we add another layer of concern about our children and grand children in college.
