  1. I bought this one on eBay a few years ago. It's still in its shrink wrap. I bought it to build a replica of a 1:1 truck I'm building, but since I didn't know anything about it I didn't open it. I decided to take a recent reissue of the 1980's Bronco and a AMT F-150 (1992/96 style) and cut and graft everything together. So far so good. Thanks for the replies.
  2. Here a picture of a nice real one. Woodward Blvd cruise 2017.
  3. I have a Revell Ford Styleside 4x4 Pickup. It's a snap kit, 1/25 from 1981. I've been building since the mid 60's and don't recall seeing another one. Is a rare kit? also new to posting pictures. Can you see it?
  4. I know this is a old thread, but I was wondering if this truck was ever finished or the reworked grille was cast. Would like to see the finished truck or purchase the grille if cast.
  5. I have used Testors gloss clear for years, for attaching lenses and photo etch scripts.
  6. Any updates on release of the bumpside 4x4's?
  7. Very good looking build. Definitely looks like a Michigan truck!
  8. I would love to see some mid 50's Mercuries and Lincoln's from Moebius.
  9. I forgot about the Thunderbird. A friend of mine had a 1959 with a 430.
  10. Yes, those are very rare preproduction heads and rocker covers. A friend of mine has at least two pair of each. He restores Boss 9's. And Boss 302's
  11. Tim was talking about MEL engines. Most of you probably know what he was talking about. But for those who don't. MEL stands for Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln. About 1957-1968. Mercuries used these engines I think from 1957-60. Edsel 1958-59. Lincoln 1957-68. ( approx. years)
  12. This is not a cammer engine. The cammer was a 427 with a single overhead cam in each head. The Boss 429 was loosely a 385 series (429/460) block with "Hemi" heads. Ford called them Crescent heads. (combustion chambers).
  13. The 1965 Lincoln has the 430 cu.in. engine. With some work it should look close to the 462. The difference between the 430 and 462 was internal. Bore and stroke.
  14. Early model 68's had the 462 cu.in. engine. Which can be found in the AMT 1965 Lincoln kit. The mid year late 68's had the 460 cu. in. engine. So any thing with the (385 series engine) 429/460.
  15. I would love to see any of the AMT Ford pickups from 1960-1992. Especially the 1961/63 unibodies.
  16. BaBaBa Bad to the Bone!!!
  17. I was just checking and Model Car Garage also has the 1956 and 1957 Ford sets. The fordomatic on those look closer to me. You might want to look at those.
  18. Looks very close to the Ford factory color Lunar Green
  19. Is that Lunar Green? And the 428 should be no problem as one of the moebius f-100 kits has a 360 in it which is an FE engine. Same basic dimension. By the way very nice build.
  20. is there any chance that Moebius could tool up for some Mercury trucks? 1967/68 and the new 1965/66 trucks. It's mainly just badging and tailgates
