I built this several years ago. AMT kit out of the box. Painted it with a maroon metallic paint and BMF. I did wire the engine on this one ? Also painted the white letters on the tires. Thanks for looking.

I built this one awhile back. Dark Green metallic paint and BMF. Heck I didn't even wire the engine. Just noticed that ? Some photo etch. Keys on the dash. Thanks for looking.

That's one of the things I hate about Walmart!! First they move it so you can't find it then they stop carrying it all together !! -

In a previous under glass post of mine a member commented on the blue dot tail lights I had in some of my builds. What I use. If you go to a fabric store and look for a packet/container of blue sequins that are used to sew on dresses. The sequins have a small hole punched in them to attach/sew them to the clothing. The small punched out (blue dots) are in the packet also. I attach them to the tail lights with gloss clear. Better than a tiny dot of blue paint.

94 Ford Lightning
Mercuryman54 replied to Modlbldr's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Good looking Lightning you have going. I posted a black one in Underglass August 30. I built several years ago. I don't remember removing the side trim, but apparently I did (CRS) age I guess!! I also painted the wheels, the chrome was not correct and just too much. Fun kit to build. At one point I was thinking about building all three colors. Maybe someday. -
Looks good!!

better chassis for builds?
Mercuryman54 replied to Tim H's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I used the Revell 1969 Mustang chassis, engine and interior in the original AMT 1970 Mustang Mach1 body. It took some fitting and shaving but it looks fairly good. Back in the 1960's Jo-Han was in my opinion 2nd only to AMT. They were my choices for kits back in the day. -

Thanks for all the comments!!! -
No. Just basically from the kit. Just used Testors gloss clear to attach the lenses to the chrome buckets. And I also try and make sure the lense engraving is oriented as on a 1:1 headlight.
