  1. Fantastic Cougar!!! Excellent build!! Love the color and stance. I've got an original AMT 1967 Cougar in the box. I'll get to it some day. Dennis

  8. Congrats. That's a lot of typing!! Dennis
  9. Casey, your boat is looking good. You could always go the whole 57 Chevy look with the fins also?. Dennis
  10. A few more pictures of the progress. Bottom of the hull painted, pinstriped and polyurethane. Deck interior and engine panels cut out.
  11. Here’s a few pictures of the construction of the deck. The hull of the boat looked too shallow to me. I added 1/4” to the depth of the boats hull and wrapped it in Mahogany veneer. Dennis
  12. I set up a fence on my band saw and cut strips of the Canary Wood. Each strip of Canary Wood got a strip of heat activated iron on Maple veneer. Then they were glued together to make up the blanks to go in the perimeter of Mahogany on each side of the center Maple strip. Dennis
  13. Here are the woods I used building the AMT boat. The deck consists of 3 types of wood. Perimeter is 1/8” Mahogany. The center strip is Maple. The “ boards” are Canary Wood with iron on Maple veneer strips between the Canary Wood “boards”. Thanks for looking. Dennis
  14. I’m starting a build post on the AMT boat kit. The kit is based on a Chris-Craft boat. Some of you may have already seen some pictures of my boat in progress. Some in the post about th reissue of this kit, the one I’m building is from the Buyers Choice issue. There are also some pictures of it in my 1954 Mercury Woody Workbench post. Thanks for looking. Dennis
  15. Yes that moulding behind the rear wheel openings should be there!! But it's not a hard fix, even after paint. Just make a mould of the existing trim then cast it in resin, trim to proper length, attach and foil. Dennis
  16. Very sharp group of builds!! I like them all. Keep up the excellent work!! Dennis
  17. Sorry about that!! I'm sure you will make it right. Don't get discouraged. Just plastic it can be fixed!! Good luck!! Dennis
  18. Sorry for no updates. Been very busy!! Try to get back on it soon. Dennis
  19. Wasn't sure. Thought I seen it somewhere, memory isn't as good as it used to be. Ha Ha!!!! Dennis
  20. Great looking Charger!!! Should look sharp on the shelf!! Dennis
  21. I know it’s probably too late, but I’ve worked on a lot of 60’s and 70’s Fords. I believe the stamped steel brackets on the front of the engine were painted satin black. I’ve helped in the restoration of the engine compartments of 60’s and 70’s Shelby and Boss Mustangs. They are all satin black. Dennis
  22. Good looking Ford Jeep, Art!!! Dennis
  23. I might be mistaken, but I think I read somewhere that Shelby originally planned to build 12 convertibles. From what I read that they still had the VIN#'s for those cars and in the 80's or 90's they completed those cars from NOS parts as 1966 models. Again not sure where I read it. Possibly Super Ford magazine or one of the Mustang magazines. Dennis
  24. Very nice build!! Dennis
  25. Fine looking Olds!! Dennis
