Here's one I built. Just a shell, no frame just attachment points for the wheels and tires. The only part of the engine is what's through the hood. I've never entered it in a contest, but I think it would/should be eligible for curbside. Just my opinion.

Yep!! The 65 Lincoln engine would be correct MEL. Also I would have to look but the AMT 1958 Edsel probably have a correct MEL engine. Most all were externally the same. All the different cubic inches was done internally. The Edsel engine is newer and more detailed than the 65 Lincoln. Dennis

I built this close to 25 years ago. I used the AMT 1936 Ford Coupe/Roadster kit. I scratch built the Du vall style windshield, chopped and modified the soft top, covered it with Elmers glue/water mixture on Kleenex. I extended the rear fenders and rear splash pan. I hand lettered the continental kit Basic black with flocked interior. Modelhaus tires & caps. I also scratch built the fender skirts. Thanks for looking.

This going to date it's self!! I used the AMT 1949 Mercury & 1953 Ford pickup. This was built close to 30 years ago. This was my first major kit modification. The paint is L'Oreal Sea Violet nail polish. It was also rubbed with a Boss 429 engine. The bed cover was made from Kleenex and Elmers glue/water mixture laid over the bed and supports.
