Aoshima Murcielago LP670-4 SV (aka What Did I Do Wrong?)

I'm thinking that like many modelers he is experimenting with what products are available. Everyone has a different way of painting and you have to experiment until you find a system that works for you and are comfortable with. 10 different modelers paint their cars 10 different ways. I usually use tamiya acrylic base with automotive urethane clear. -

That would be pretty meticulous but it may work. -

Wetsanding it wont fix that problem. It looks like the metallic has moved from either sanding or the first coat of clear was too heavy. I'm thinking strip it. -

It looks like a cool build. Why you gotta leave us hangin ? -
Yes, that is ine of the issues that I have with it. The windshield doesn't match the contour of the roof and keeps popping out and I didn't want to ruin it with a bunch of glue.

Looks awesome ! I have this kit and planned on building it in a similar way.

I didn't use any grommets on the seats. I drilled out the existing ones and painted them with testors chrome silver.

I used ts21.

I have finally finished this one. While it may not be as perfect as I would like it, it certainly has tested my patience and my skills. Well, here are some pics :

I agree, but the next size larger braid looks too big for the fittings. -

I think something happened to the basecoat but that was the last batch of parts and my clear was mixed over an hour before that. Im using automotive urethane clear over tamiya acrylic basecoat. What I'm going to do is sand the peices flst with 2000 grit, mask of the decals and spot in the bad areas and clear again.
