  1. There's like no flashing whatsoever on these parts, which is nice. And they actually seem a bit heavier than plastic, they arent thin, they really do feel like high quality parts. I just really wish I could find an interior tub I'm not great at scratch building to try my hand at it yet.
  2. Ordered some parts from Modelhaus to add to my stash of '65 Fairlane parts for when I get to building a replica of my Dad's car... and I must say, super nice stuff! Took a while to get, but I knew that going in to it so no big deal there. If only someone made a correct '65 interior tub... I'm kinda bummed thats the only thing I cant find.
  3. Looks good! That commercial is awesome.... I love the black crown vic on the lift with the bullitt wheels on it! Pretty sure that's the commercial...
  4. I wish I was building these right now so I could buy them... I totally would.
  5. Love it! I built this one a few years back and did the same thing... went to the paint shop and bought a half pint of Teal metallic! Will have to find pics somewhere of it...
  6. Must... resist... putting blown 454 in my street fighter kit.......... I freaking love it
  7. Love it! this will be one to be proud of when done!
  8. I see this car, and I think 70's High School automotive class build that sat for years afterwards! love it!
  9. Freaking awesome looking! I still cant bring myself to cut one up like that! btw I was in Columbus friday night at Woodlands tavern for the Unknown Hinson show...
  10. I really enjoy this thread! Soo many awesome old 30's cars... and a great subject matter!! Very cool..
  11. LOL... you guys take this stuff too serious
  12. This guy here doesn't give two brown poopies about the roof height. I'm probably going to end up owning a dozen of these, and will enjoy building them all with no complaints. The weather is getting better for the most part. Go get some fresh air folks... cabin fever and glue fumes are making ya'll edgey.
  13. Looks like the 1951 Chevy that Steve McQueen drove in his last movie "The Hunter" from 1980 minus the white top instead of black. Had he left the car sit in the backyard it might have looked like this. Looks great though! for those curious...
  14. C'mon folks, there's a simple solution to the roof debate. Get over it. If it bothers you soo bad, don't buy one. Or buy a real one and build it your way. Like I'm doing. Take a step back, calm down, and realize it's just a plastic model not the end of the world, and build em to have fun.
  15. He's had the Bogarts on it for many years. being that theyre soo thin and deep dished in real life it was probably hard to replicate them.
  16. The 2n1 and the drag version is based on my friend Mike Bell's NMRA Real Street coupe that he drag races. Revell came to his shop in Dayton, Ohio to measure the heck out of his car. He received the very first 2n1 version of the street car version w/ the police stuff.
  17. I hope this thing looks like its straight out of the Cannonball Run! 80's nascar street car styled like the Hawaiian Tropic Laguna! lol
  18. When you click on one tab, once youre there, you cant click on other tabs. But if you go back you can click on the other one. Once you figure that out all is good. Are there no parts yet?
  19. I always "go thru" the box and tinker with the kits, and mock them up, see how the fit, and mentally catalog things I have to do to the kit. But, as of right now, I only have 2 in progress. My '55 Chevy forgotten gasser, and my '68 Roadkill Charger.
  20. Did a little work to the Charger last night. Trying to get all the details on the body worked out before I add any rust and flat clear. I need to finish my '55 Chevy rusty gasser before I work on the Charger more because I need the zip lock bag it's in LOL
  21. I did not expect to like the american racing vectors on a '66 Riv, but it looks great!
  22. Blacks and Blues. I realized my number of black cars had been on the rise so thats about the time I started dabbling in 2 tones, rust, and multi color cars.
  23. I was at my friends house over the weekend helping him work on his '86 Mustang coupe he picked up a while back... Got drunk afterwards and ended up putting some more flat black on my '68 Charger. Looks pretty good from what I remember.. lol
  24. sounds like when I build a car... one thing after another. Looks good though
  25. I always sharpened a toothpick, and dipped it in to a puddle of paint that I put in a testors paint cap that I use specifically for detailing, so I removed the cardboard seal at the top so its bare metal on the cap. Then I clean it out every time. But thats how I do it. I dip the sharpened toothpick in the paint, then wipe one side of it on the instruction sheet that way it doesnt glob on there. Had pretty good results with that.
