I would love to have this when it comes out. Might get 2 one to build out of the box stock, the other to make an offroad trail truck!

Fast and smooth indeed! Well, atleast if yours were taken care of. Mine was severely neglected, and had many issues. But I'm slowly correcting and fixing them all. I'm to the point now where the issues are pretty well taken care of, and now I am modifying it! Cobra exhaust manifolds, EGR delete, an oil pan that doesnt rust, 3500 stall converter, deep finned trans pan, standalone transmission cooler, 4.10 gears and trak loc diff, sequential taillights, cold air intake w/ box (made by me), underdrive pullies, doing a coil over plug conversion on it using the 2nd gen mark viii coil wiring, coils, and cam covers. true dual exhaust, mandrel bent from manifolds to muffler tips. Double X-pipes, and Magnaflow 3" mufflers. Should be a pretty healthy Mark Viii for what it is. hopefully completing it this spring, and going to get it tuned.

I dig it! very unusual and I like it! Now THAT is a hot rod lincoln! -
Well, I'm not officially putting my hat in the ring yet, but I did pick up a neat concept car that I've not seen before. Wont reveal what it is til I can get some of my other projects and CBP cars done first and then join this one. It is a Ford though.

Looks great! I picked up the orange sparkle version of that by chance a while back

Looking good! I built a '93 Cobra a few years back and had the correct teal mixed up at a paint shop and sprayed it with my paint guns.

Yep! Very much so!

Perfect color on the blue.... I feel it needs some white metallic or silver metallic on it as a 2 tone on top or something. To like accent the top fin piece and the topside of the car.

Bought some CA glue yesterday to try and hold my injector stacks to my resin lower intake.... they wouldn't hold at all. I got mad and took that intake off and will be putting my dual tunnel ram intake on. -
Got my photo-etched grille, MSD box, and B&M rachet shifter in the mail today for the Roadkill Charger.

Well I found a bunch of parts from a few Chargers that I forgot I had, so some of my issues are solved. Also got in my metal grille, B&M rachet shifter, and MSD box for this build. -
Scored this the other day. Pretty happy about it for $12.

I have a few questions for you all

I've built model cars for many years, but they were always out of the box, or at best kit-bashed, but I've never done any serious custom work... and I want to after seeing all of the wonderful creations on here it makes me want to push myself to go to the next level. -
My first car, had it since I was 15, and I still own it (although it needs restored pretty badly now) 1977 Ford Mustang II (dont hate!) You can actually see the front header panel is primer (I hit a deer in it ) This next car is my snowball. I call it Frankenstein. Because it will be made of MANY different mustangs. It started out life as an '88 Mustang LX 4cyl 5spd. Will be a 302/5spd when done, with full drag suspension. Here's some of the parts for it... There's double the stuff in this storage unit now.. I have a problem. lol My '93 Lincoln Mark VIII Then this happened from a deer now it's back to this again after lots of work, and scouring junkyards. It's currently getting a lot of work right now (go fast parts!) My '94 Mustang GT, with like 243,000 miles About the time I first got it My daily driver is a black 2004 Ford Ranger FX4 Level II, extended cab... but I dont seem to have any pictures of it at the moment.

What is CA? -
I've been thinking about doing some severe mods/customizations to some of the models I have yet to build, but I'd like to know what types of tools you all are using to accomplish such awesome work?? i was looking at the Kustom Carz CBP thread, and seeing all these perfect cuts, and body panel blending, and shaving of large parts off of these cars, and I really would like to try and find the tools that make doing these things easier. What do you use to perfectly cut parts? What do you use to shave details perfectly? What do you to hold all of this together and shape things? Secondly, I've just recently started using resin parts for some of my builds, but I notice that things dont stay glued to resin very well. I had 8 Hilborn injection tubes for my big block in my '55 Chevy gasser I'm building, and just last night the engine slipped out of my fingers and fell, knocking all of the injection tubes off the engine like they were never even attached! (Made me pretty darn mad!) Are resin parts special and need a completely different approach to paint and glue? Is crazy glue or something similar the best to use? I've used testors glue over and over again on them and they dont hold. Thanks and sorry if any of these questions are redundant.

Wow. I'm blown away by the customization in this thread!!! How in the world are you guys making such clean cuts, rescribing lines, and shaving the bodies on these cars sooooo neatly??? I'm jealous! I need whatever tools those are!

I bought (or should I say "received" ) a '74 Plymouth Scamp for free after my dad's friend bought it thinking it had a motor bigger than a 318 in it for his '70 Valiant Duster, and so since it didnt, he said he would give it to me or it was going to scrap. I felt sorry for the car, and accepted. Parents were none too happy, but I was in love w/ the little thing. It was ugly as all getout, and had pretty much no floorpans, but a few trips to the junkyard wielded some old galvanized sheet metal used for indoor heating unit bodies, and I pop-riveted them in place, and sealed it all w/ undercoating, got the motor running good, and had decent used tires on it as well. Car had magnum 500's on it too! Was a white car w/ green interior and a green vinyl top which I peeled off because it was shredded. Put a lot of work in to this car and tried to drive it but the k member was wore completely out, and the wheels would camber WAY out at the bottom even after new ball joints and other steering parts. So it was a lawn ornament for a while, until I could try and find a k member... which I learned were small block specific or slant 6 specific... and wouldnt interchange (There were like 3 or 4 darts/dusters/scamps in a local yard, but all slant 6's) So I waited and waited and waited. Never found what I needed, and I didnt know how to weld back then either. So, time went by, and I bought an '89 Mustang GT for $500 that was blown up off a buddy of mine, because he was going to scrap it as well, and I put a motor in it and drove it for 6mo. before totaling it in the snow (only car I could drive unfortunately) so I parted out the GT, and sold the body of it, and sold the whole Scamp to a friend of mine who resold the Scamp and scrapped my GT. Fast forward about 6 or 7 years, I see my Scamp going down the highway while on my way to work and its painted flat black now, had dual exhaust, and sounded pretty good! I was soo glad to see it was still alive. Years after I sold the Scamp I saw that they now make tubular K members for old Mopars... wish I woulda never sold it now. Oh well. I'm having more fun w/ Fords and Mustangs... and my Lincoln Mark Viii

Welcome! Always wanted to visit Australia... but I'm poor. Plus if I went there I'd probably not want to come back. At least without a '73 Falcon XB GT in my possession!

Added a few dents, dings and holes to the charger tonight. Also cut the front bumper from the grille. Will probably have to wrap it in BMF now though.
