    1967 Chevelle

Looks good, nice paint job and detail work.
  3. Looks real good, nice and clean What color is that? It looks good
  4. Thanks for the comments. Hitch the frame is stretched now so that all tires will set behind the sleeper now. This thing has been built body first, instead of a lot of measuring and missing it. The frame is now in the stage of being smoothed, all brackets will be removed and relocated to get things lined up. And a bumper styled after the one on here,it's for mock up only. It go's to a custom KW I'm building. I'll get photos up when it takes shape.
  5. Even though its not a contest here I like the white and orange is my favorite one.
  6. I don't know anything about your question on the brand and tons. I do Know they hold the old AMT Dozers and look right and it is a tri axle so it looks good with any heavy equipment on it. It is also a good kit to build into a break away lowboy or a super size lowboy. Hope this helps. What do you plan on doing with it.
  7. Nice and clean,good job.
  8. I will pray that Ed and his wife are ok and that they get back on track.
  9. Lacquer Use Lacquer clear
  10. Looks OK to me it brings out the bright colored car.
  11. Thats a nice build and the paint is smooooooth.
  12. This is one I'm working on for a contest on another forum. Scratch built hood,Extended cab,Extended sleeper and a lot left to do. The way it has worked out ,one axle will sit under the sleeper. The frame will be stretched again to fix that problem This is a custom working truck so to me it looks cool the way it's going. The front bumper is from another truck I'm doing. It's here for mock up. I will build one like it to match this truck. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking. Earl
  13. This looks very nice John The details and scratch building looks great. Good job
  14. A BIG THANK YOU to Gregg for your reply. At the NNL in Atlanta my granddaughter got a free subscription form. We filled it out and sent it in. I told her it would take a while to get the first one. She bugged me about it for a while, well it came. Mon Jan 31'st 2011,the fact that it was the Nov 2010 issue, did not matter. Like Gregg said if you don't like it move on instead of complaining about it. He did say it in a nice way. A PM to Gregg would have been the right way to find out what the problem was. The only thing I can say is try to start your own Mag. See how that works out. At least you will get your copy on time. I will pray for your health to get better Gregg I had a bad lumbar muscle in my back once from a wreck that I had. So I know about the things you can not do with a bad back. As for those who says that a bad back is no excuse, has never had a bad back problem. Late or not.I hope you can keep putting the Mag. out. Another thing that the complainers may not think about is the FACT that at any given time Gregg can say NO MORE because like he said. Its his baby and he runs it the best way that he can under the circumstances. Keep up the good job Gregg and most of all I hope you get better soon. Earl Miler
  15. It looks good The paint job looks like a challenge, but all the hard work payed off.
  16. I like these KW's I bought a few and did one box stock Keep the photos coming.
  17. Adam,I think thats a bad deal that you guys can't get in on it.
  18. Its all a habit. I check out my main sites and then its off while I work on my models. I've been working on a Pete all day then I came here. If I start out on here I loose my model time also. My wife tells me that I can use this thing for more than model related stuff. Thats when I cut it off and start back building She just shakes her head and walks off.Works out pretty good that way
  19. Thanks Ben Yea,I'm building one for that contest.
  20. It is looking good. However,I would make those tires sit flat,it takes some frame work to do it like others have said. And the main thing is build it your way. I had the same issue with a 69 Chevelle so after 230 pieces to make the parts,to get the look I wanted and 260 hrs I was happy. And yes I kept records of every piece and hours involved just to see what it took. Scratch building fun
  21. These are my favorites,my own designs from the Revell 41 Chevy pick up. They are not finished yet,but they are just two of several designs I have planed.
  22. Nice builds, that black paint looks real good and smooth.
  23. Well the thing is this. I decided to build it box stock because of the detail work on other projects slowing down my finished builds. Weather has the painting on hold. So I open it up, look it over.THEN IT STARTED,cut the grill openings and cut the gills on the fenders open. Going to use fine mesh for that. Decided to cut the lights and tag plate off the front bumper and fill the area where the tag is to smooth the bumper out. There gos the chrome. Oh well. It will have a black body with gunmetal bumpers and window trim. I'm thinking about taking the front running lights off the roll pan and rounding it to flow with the front fender. Also doing the same to the rear pan. May even build a low profile cowl over the air scoop but keeping it open in the front. If I can make it look right Box stock, yea right I don't know when that will happen again. Anybody else do this with out planing it?
  24. Yea I tried this for about 10 seconds years ago and stuck with the knife method. I do use a dremell tool on the inside of the body with a big cone shaped grinding stone. [1] I hold the body up to the light and mark it inside where the door lines are. [2] I follow the lines creating a grove,it is a little rough looking and takes practice however if you don't get to deep, after you cut the lines from the outside of the body you can sand the edges smooth, giving them a thinner real looking edge.
  25. Very nice. What color and brand of paint is that?
