  2. As everyone can see I decorated our tree after my wife went to work I think she'll like it. I'll post her response.I'm thinking something like this. This is no disrespect to Christmas. That is the birthdate of our lord Jesus Christ. Just having fun at home. I hope everyone enjoys it. Comments welcomed. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE Earl Miller God Bless
  3. Very nice build As for the paint I like it. It looks like a well done rebuild of an old school funny car, headed to a show room.
  4. Very nice and clean
  5. Thank you Niko I had some paiht issues that still have to be taken care of. I may get something done today and get back into this one. Earl
  6. The sharpie is just one of those things a lot of us do. The tape is quicker and cleaner than temp glue spots to dry and clean. No updates Earl
  7. Yes MCG is still around and Bob is a real good person. And a real good business man. I have tons of his stuff, call him he'll let you know whats new. Earl Miller
  8. When I do paint a two tone I waite a week or more. When you tape it off spray a clear coat first before the color your using' to seal the edges of the tape so it will give you a clean line and not bleed under the edges. If your tape do's leave a residue on the paint, let it dry then clean it with dish washing soap.
  9. That sucks. This forum is for model builders and you would think that anyone that builds models would not rip someone off, that offers products to us outside the big company's that don't. Even on trades if someone has something to trade that I want I waite until I get mine from them. Then I send them what we trade for. I had a guy that offered a trade but wanted me to send mine first. I explained to him that his trade offer was like money that he would send to me for the item I had that he wanted. This went on for a month and he wouldn't send what he offered so we didn't trade, and if I would have sent mine first I would have got riped off. Anyone that has got a kit from this man up front needs to pay him.
  10. That is a nice build. Anyone have one of these Vegas that they can part with PM me. Earl
  11. Those are some very nice trucks. Keep them coming. God Bless
  12. If you want to know how the real car mounts so that you can add that detail to your frame,go on line and look up shops that build the frames. If you get a close up view of the frame you can see the mount points, and then you can scratch build them and add that detail to the frame. The clips can be made from thin 0.20 plastic or what ever thin plastic that looks the way you want it to. Here is a frame that I built for my first one it came out alright. The mounts are just where I wanted to put them. I still have to put bolt heads on them hex rod works for that. Hope this helps. 19. Winston Mitchell was a good friend of mine for a short time before he passed April 2010. Here are the builds his son displayed at the 2010 NNL in his Honor. Winston could scratch build using material from everyday items. He was an out standing person that never thought that he was better than anyone else. He is missed dearly. Earl Miller God Bless him and his family.
  20. Winston Mitchell was one that I knew personally. When I met him he said he scratch builds all of his kits. Then I found out we lived close together and a friendship began. The work on his kits was amazing considering it was scrap material from everywhere. He taught me a lot he was a great person and I miss him dearly. April 15th 2010 was the day he passed and this years NNL in Smyrna Ga. will be tough this year, because that is where we met.And it will not be the same without him there. God Bless Earl Miller
  21. You can put my name on the list Matthew A Pete car hauler and a KW car hauler I'll try to get some photos of them this week. They are new kits. Thanks Earl God Bless
  22. Thanks for all the comments. The tanker is a Revell kit. And I plan on building some decked out show trucks but no time frame on starting one. Maybe I'll finish up a couple of cars I'm working on and do some trucks, for a change of pace. Heres A couple more for those that haven't seen them. The custom Pete is my first one like it. The car hauler is a first also and is is long three feet. Even though it dos'nt need tri axles I built it for the looks. God Bless
  23. The pete has a few aluminum parts I did my self and the bumper on the KW
  24. Keep up the good work,it's looking good.
  25. If you go with the case from the store. You can tape the top side of the base and paint the bottom side with flat black and it will have a gloss black glass look when you pull the tape off after you coat it solid. Like a black mirror God Bless
