    Olds Stocker

I love these old modified stocker kits. Great job on this one. Have any more from this series? Anybody else have similar builds? Please post 'em!
  3. Very nice work indeed! I've built a few of these kits over the years and they don't look this good.
  4. That's impressive work for sure.Amazing what a snapkit can look like with a bit of work.Good job.
  5. Just tried to watch it. No access outside of U.S. So much for that.
  6. Thank you for the tip! IMO Speed channel(Fox) should be renamed Nascar channel...too much already.Over analyzed, over scrutinized, dissected. Not enough drag racing. Love watching Passtime.Don't like Pinks allout although I'll watch it.Don't care for the host.
  7. Hi Rudy...nice job. Can you give us your opinion of this kit? Easy build? Hows the flash? etc...I bought this one a while back and have not even opened the box yet.Thanks.
  8. Great job! I,too, have built this kit and found the chassis to be very crude and simple.Love what you have done with this one.Have any more like this? I watched these types of stock cars race for many years at our local race track.Lots of memories.
  9. How about a Ross Gibson 'Cammer' SOHC 427? or maybe a huge cubic inch 'mountain motor?
  10. Looking forward to seeing this one built.Always liked short track stock cars.Keep us posted!
  11. Love the color! Fantastic job.Kudos to you! Everthing about it is just right. The wheels,tires,flathead...
  12. That's a beautiful build Fredrik.I will agree with you about how correct it is.Who cares? Build it your way,the way you like it. Now I wish I could find that particular kit.
  13. Very nice job John.I like the "old skool" drag cars.Racing was a lot simpler way back when. Building for fun is great.Just build it to appeal to your self,do it your way. Keep up the good work!
  14. Hey Glen, awesome job on your '32! very nice on the period correct look. The color suits it well. Hope mine turns out that nice. Now I can't decide on an engine choice.Flathead?kit supplied sb chev? I have a R-M parts paks 283 also. ???
  15. Pulled this one off the shelf a few days ago.Mocked it up,looking for ideas.Seldom do I build to resemble the box art,but I like how it looks in this case.Going for a late fifties kinda drag look.Nothing too difficult. Will use the AMT Round 2 wide white pie crust slicks on the rear, wide whites on the front and the kit wheels all around although they should be skinnier on the front.I'll see what else I can find.Paint color will be red, maybe candy apple.Spark plug wires and a few minor details should do it. I would like to try my hand at better detailing but I need more skill and patience. All in due time I guess.I will post more pics as this one progresses. I'm already looking at one of three more 32's in my stash.Anyhow, thanks for looking, any comments are welcome. P.S.The stash is nearing 200.I buy more than I build(bad habit).
  16. That's one mean machine.I really like the way it looks in the first pic.
  17. Wow,what a great job! Very nice.Great idea for the head rest. That's thinking outside the box.
  18. Fantastic job! I have to agree with Daddyfink. Back when you could tell what make it was by just a glance.
  19. Just thought I would post this very quick build. This kit is manufactured by Zvezda(Moscow,Russia),whom I've never heard of.It's a snap together,in 1/43 scale.Picked it up because I really enjoyed the movie and also am a fan of Richard Petty.Build time was about fifteen minutes!

    1968 Corvette

Oh that's a nice Corvette. Great work that you do. Very realistic look.
  21. Thank you to everyone with your comments.I will have something a little different to post next time.Just opened a '32 Ford 5 window coupe today.
  22. New member, new to the forum, this is my first post.I have been in a slump recently with a move to a new house, work, life, etc.Needed something to get the creative juices flowing again.I spotted this kit at the local hobby shop and figured why not.Yeah,it's just a snap kit but with a little detailing I think it turned out ok. I build only for myself and all my builds go on the shelf,no contests. Anyhow this is a 1970's Peterbilt 352 COE.It's the Revell 1/32 snaptite kit.Exterior paint is $1.49 rattle can from the bargain store. It's called Ford medium cranberry metallic.Clear coat is Testors one coat.Decals are from the kit and spares box.A small amount of BMF was used also.Interior color is Tamiya light sand.First time I used flocking on the seats.A piece of satin for a blanket in the bunk and tissue paper for pillows. I enjoy looking at other posters builds. They give me inspiration and ideas.Keep up the excellent work everyone.
